Was curious how well the 10 et35 cleared the inner shock on front and rear. So here's some aggressive clearance lol

Here is the front, more room the I expected
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170215/e53edd80340a839966deb1a9a87885ad.jpg

And the rear..... shock boot is literally touching the tire...
Also to be said, I am running -3 camber in the rear at the moment until my fenders get pulled.

Are the fronts adjustable at all with stock? Haven't had the chance to take a look.

Cannot adjust fronts, only camber that the front has is from the drop. About -1.2

Our customer, Ryan, just sent in photos of his Audi S3 sitting on a set of Vertini RF1.1 in the Brushed Titanium finish! Not as aggressive as the other ones I've seen but definitely good for those not wanting to lower too much.

Mounted on 235/35/19 tire because they didn't have 245/30/19 in stock.

That should work, gonna be close but stock ride height should get it done, if you lowered it you would need negative camber or fender work. You could consider a 255/30 if you think you may lower it one day

B14 Coilovers, rolled front fenders, paint and body work to pull out the rear fenders, zero camber, 18x9.5 et39 255/35-18 RE-71R's. Going with a 285/35-18 drag radial next.

I run zero camber, so if you drop to this ^^^ tire size and willing to run -1 / -2 then you should not rub

What do people think I should go with in terms of tyre size - stock height Audi S3 8V Sedan.

I am fitting these rims to my S3 sedan (pictured below). They are 19x8.5 +43.

I am tossing up between 245/35/19 or 255/35/19 in tyre size. I gather the 255 will fit ok in this sizing?

What would you go for? Any help appreciated. I like the idea that I will have a slightly higher sidewall with the 255 so the ride might be a tad bit more compliant and softer.

I am ok with the tyre balooning on the rim for more comfort and to protect the rims more. Are you saying a 255/35 won't fit on 8.5"? It should physically fit on the rim ok.

On to the next set, opted try a little "same same but different".

Audi RS4 V Spokes,
20x9 +26,
235/30
PSS,
B14s,
Fenders Pulled, rubs slightly when pushed. I will be installing some GC camber plates tomorow to ensure a rub free ride.

Same design as the 19's V spokes, but with more concave

compared to the 18 stockers

Its gonna be aggressive, 235 may work at stock height but might rub if lowered. 225/35/19 would be safer with a mild drop, or 215/35/19 if you're going lower

Would 255/30 work at stock height, do you think?

110%. u could go 255/35/19 as well.

Awesome, so just to confirm (sorry, I'm new at this, so trying to figure my way along), at stock height, 19x8.5 et32 w/ 255/30 or 235/35 *should* work w/o rubbing and w/o sticking out from the fender "too far," correct?

Thanks!!!

So if yours works with an inch wider wheel, that gives me 1/2" to play with, and since the difference between our offsets is 5/16", I should have room to spare. Thanks, dude!!

Will this fit the 2016 S3?

19" x 8.5" ET38 with 235 / 30 /19?
The Oz Racing Ultraleggera HLT only comes in a +38 or a +47 offset and I think the 47 is too close to stock (stock is 18 x 8 ET+49)... bit worried the 38 might rub or stick out too far though.....

The front is not camber adjustable. To get camber adjustment in the front you'll need camber plates such as the Ground Control plates. The rear is camber adjustable via eccentrics on the upper arm.

you need the black optics grill- the non BO grill has the platinum grey plastic. the bo has a nice satin black plastic. its a subtle difference but i think it will be worth it.

regular s3 grill:

Yeah just can't bring myself to spend $500 on a grill. I'll just wrap each grey piece then it will look just like a BO grille. I would have just bought a mesh one but there is nothing on the market for ACC.

No Ecodes for me. I can't see wasting $1500 to not have orange reflectors, that's an engine tune and TCU tune.

I've got 10 et35, you'd need a fair amount of rear camber and best get front camber plates to clear the fenders.
I had to have fenders pulled out, and about 2mm from touching inner shock with my inner lip

Will most likely be PSS with 245 on a 9.5" width, or 235 on a 8.5" width. As far as negative camber is concerned, whatever I can get out of the stock suspension would suit me best. Most likely won't go camber plate route, but I will probably grab the SuperPro LCAs and 034 Rear Control Arms down the road.

You have the most aggressive setup on the forum from what I've seen. I'm not looking to go super wide, just enough to fill the gap and get a flush setup (doesn't have to be perfect for me). I mentioned it above, but most likely won't got camber plates will get what's possible out of the stock setup. I won't pull the fenders.

I'm on ED springs natural camber from the drop gave me -1.0 in the front and adjusted the rear to -1.5. no fender mods [;)]

Yes, the front pokes a bit more than the rear does.

$800 is a lot for 1 degree of caster. The arms don't weigh any less than the stamped steel ones. You might get a bit of additional stiffness, but $800.

Just a quick question. I'm looking at getting some wheels. I'm looking at the Verde axis v99 they offer two sizes and I would like the most aggressive/concave version I could run. I'm currently lowered on h&r sport springs/15mm spacers front and rear. ( no rubbing so far) I plan on re using the pen 235 35 19 tires.

Options are 19 x 9.5 +48 & 19 x 9.5 +36

What would the offset be compared to the current 19 x 8 +49 (+34 with 15mm spacers?

the +48 will be really close to the strut. I don't think the offset will affect the concavity on those wheels. Typically concave is set and they add girth to the hub or take it away

19x9.5 +48 will not fit in the front, it will hit the strut. +36 will stick out of the fenders too far. Some of us have answered his post in a separate thread just before he posted here.

I test fitted many and had a set of 18x9 before switching to 18x9.5 et39 and 255/35-18. I rolled the fronts and had paint and body work done to fit the rears. I run zero camber but I am considering machining the wheels to et43 and running 275/35-18 nt01's since more traction would be helpful

Well I have been lurking here for long enough now.. I am waiting on delivery of my 17 S3 in Riviera Blue that should be here next week. I have a set of BC Forged 2 piece wheels on order 19/9.5 et40 that should be here by end of month and 245/35/19 Potenza Pole S-04's already bought.. ED springs are already here so I'm hoping to have pics for you guys in the next couple weeks..

I have 034 springs and 8mm/12mm spacers coming in. I probably won't get them on until after I move in a month or so though. Wheels are RPF1s at 18x8 ET35 so new offsets should be ET27 and ET23 (front/rear)

Looks like some of you guys are running similar fitment of 19x9.5 et39 as listed for these TSW Bathurst https://www.getyourwheels.com/view-wheel/tsw-wheels/tsw-bathurst-gloss-gunmetal-rotary-forged but when I add my car to check the fitment 19x9.5 et39 is not listed. Instead 19x8.5 et43 is my only option https://www.getyourwheels.com/view-wheel/tsw-wheels/tsw-bathurst-gloss-gunmetal-rotary-forged Will the 19x9.5 et39 not fit my car without rubbing and fender modifications? So TSW Bathurst 19x9.5 et39 should fit with no rubbing and no mods to the fender? Just wanted to check since I have seen a couple on the S3's but they all look like to be running 19x8.5 et43 and none in the 19x9.5 et39 and didn't know if this particular wheel in that size gave issues.

Those should fit. Basically the same setup as the avant garde m580 that are 19 19x9.5 +40 so they would be out 1mm further

FYI, I answered you farther up 6/05/17 at 3:40 pm after you asked about a 19x9.5 et 35. [rolleyes]

19x9.5 et39 is slightly less poke then mine. It won't rub on ED springs with 245s.

I have the Bathurst in 18x9.5 et39 and 255/35-18. I had front and rear fender work done because I run more tire than most everyone else and zero camber. I might have them machined to et43 and step up to 275/35-18

255/30 😁

The rear is 235/35.

This is on the rs3 which has wider fenders than the S3. So probably not the best comparison for fitment.

My car has the performance pack. Wider front tyres and narrow rear. This is how they come from Audi.

Try lowering springs and sway-bars. Optimal solution is coilovers, but I'm yet to find a reliable one to replace magride.
I'm seeing a bit of (~%10) improvement with sport springs though.

The stretched tires have not caused any issues, they still stick like stock. With the H&R SS springs I still have body roll, but imagine that a sway would tighten this down. I enjoy the H&R SS spring ride quality, not much difference than stock MRC IMO, maybe a bit stiffer in a good way.

No rubbing on the fenders, actually thinking of running a 3 or 5mm spacer to be flush, so your +36 should be spot on!

One thing to note since these MRR GF6 wheels are pretty concave, I was rubbing on the front brake caliper carrier. I had to shave down a few mm where it was rubbing on the center of the carrier. Eventhough I've seen many run this setup 9.5 et40, I didn't take into account the concave nature of the wheel, just a heads up for anyone looking to run this in the future. A 3mm spacer would have made the wheel clear the brake caliper carrier no problem.

Interested in this ^ as well. I'm looking for a 19x9.5 setup for my S3 only for the concave look. I've seen people running this setup with no issues / and people who had to mod their fenders. I contacted Vossen the other day and they told me they only guarantee fitment of 8.5 & 9 (at most) for 8v S3.

Those wheels look awesome! Any issues with the fitment? Any rubbing?

No clearance issues, clear hub, caliper fine. Need to run a small valve stem though as they are situated in the barrel and could potentially come in contact with caliper if they were too long.

SASKCHAUCH are they on H&R sport or super sport springs?

I know you wrote sport springs, just double checking.

Looks great by the way.

Just the h&r sport spring (50343) not super sport, h&r lists that on mag ride cars they will lower more than non mag ride cars.
