I'll do a proper photo shoot once it's lowered. I'm really liking the look though.

They're 19x8.5 +35 5x114.3, so we can custom machine them to 5x112 safely, or you can run them with wobble bolts.
Perfect fit for A3/S3 or A4/S4

Looking at a set of wheels 19x9 et42 for my s3. I am lowered on ED springs. These should be good to go? I am currently running ECS spacers on the stock black optic wheels. Just wanted a confirmation due to the wider rim.
I'm running the identical setup on 245/35/19 Michelin PSS. Sticky Rice is running 19x9 ET40 on 255 tires also on ED springs.

19x9.5 et35 with 245 tires will fit front and rear. I'm going with that setup if I ever get wheels again. See below with my current setup of 9.5 et40 with 245.

You can do a 19x8.5/9.5 staggered to get semi concave front and deep concave rear.
But most Audi guys prefer running deep concave all around since they can fit it and rotate the wheels/tires
But 19x8.5/9.5 is definitely possible if you like the staggered concavity look

PM if you want to meet up and check them out, I'm around tomorrow and Friday with no work
Hey Everyone,
All the cars here look fantastic! Hope next summer I can get some new shoes and look half as good as the cars on this thread! But today, im here for another issue...
I'm a new member and a new owner of 2016 s3. I had some concerns fitting winter tires and I figured this would be a great place to gain some knowledge and get answers!
So I bought a set on michelin XIce-3 last season for my 2010 A5 for my stock rims which were 245/40R18. Long story short, I still have them and want to avoid selling since I'll lose decent chunk of cash in the process (Plus i've tried and not much interest at the price im selling :S)
My question is - with new winter rims, will these tires fit? and if they do, what kind of problems will I run into, if any(rubbing, etc.)
I'm pretty unknowledgeable when it comes to this kind of stuff, but looking to learn.
The car is stock in every way.
Thank you in advance for your answers. I appreciate any help I can get :)

It shouldnt, main issue with running staggered on quattro is if you run mismatched staggered tires.
You want to make sure the overall diameters on the staggered setup have similar diameters or revs/mile, if the tires turn at different speeds it can hurt the quattro system.
But if the revs/mile are the same then it has no negative effect on quattro

Those tire sizes will work just fine on the S3. You just need to make sure the wheels you put them on are a proper width/offset for the S3, 18x8.5 or 9 with a +35 to 45 offset

Dangggg thats meaty!
What specs are you going to be running these on? I'd guess it needs to be a 19x9.5 +45
Federals run pretty wide so be careful
255/30/19 would be perfect for a S3 IMO

Can't go with the Federal RS-RR's in 255's on a 19x9.5 et45 wheel because it will rub on the struts.

Similar price and weight are the Forgestar CF10's. Very very similar wheels with only difference the way the spokes attach to the barrel of the wheel. I lean toward the forgestar design, but its personal preference. Both are great wheels for the $$. The 20x10 CF10 wheel weighs 24.6Lbs so the 19 X 9 wheel should be easily 21lbs or less.

Eurotek Tuning rolled the front fenders today. We went out about 1/8". The car had zero rubbing in the front before rolling but we wanted to get them flat on the inside and took an extra step and trimmed off the outside edge of the fender liner. We feel it looks better now even though no rubbing before. The back rubs slightly when I hit big bumps at speed but it is rubbing enough to eventually take all the paint off. I have an appointment Monday with Updated Auto and they are going to pull the rears out around 1/2" and I will get the car back on Wednesday.
Here is a pic with the front rolled. I should have some good shots come Sunday Morning then I will get more next Wednesday after the backs are pulled.

Anyone run a staggered setup? Thoughts on a 19x8.5 et38 and 19x9.5 et38 setup on a lowered S3 with ED springs? I was set on the rse102's but maybe found something else if this setup works with the stock 235 tires for now.

If I was going to run staggered I would run 10 front and 9.5 rear.

Can you post some side shots of this setup ? Thanks !
I was planning on doing the 17.5 on the rear and 12 or 15 in the front as I thought 20 would rub bad with the super sports.

I am running ECS 17.5 rear spacers and 12.5mm front spacers and like it a lot but am looking at a set of 19x8.5's with a et32 offset.

The rear will rub as we have way more room in front than rear however if you reverse the setup you mentioned not only will it fit all the way around it will also reduce understeer. Even then you should pry stick with max of et36 front and et40 rear but I think et39 front and et42 rear would be ultimate and 245/35 would be max tire without rubbing.

I believe that wrx uses 5x114 and you can use those rims on S3 just have to get wobble bolts.

yes 18's. My old wheels were 18x9 et48. These are 18x9.5 et38 and sit 3mm farther away from the strut/inside and sit out 15mm farther than the old ones.

I was able to fit 19x9.5 et45 with good clearance in the back but the front was too close to the strut for my comfort leaving about 1mm strut clearance. I have Bilstien B14 Coilovers.

Not on their site, but I can get pricing for you when I get back from out of town. They had a white A3 on their coils a couple years back.

What do you guys think would be the widest tires I can get for my setup?
19x8.5 et 35. Currently running 225/35/19 tires, but want to possibly go 245/35 or 255/35. ED Springs on Mag Ridge.
Thoughts?
You'll be fine on 245/35's. It'll sit well with no rub with ED springs. Nice square tire setup.

Probably pull the trigger tomorrow if there are any decent sales...even though I don't even have possession of the car yet [drive]

My new track setup. I have been looking for a set of these for over 10 years, I never wanted to wait so I never special ordered them. I recently got lucky and found a brand new set from another member here. Many thanks to shiro1745, I could not be happier with these...
These are Enkei manufactured 5x112 (not redrilled) 18x9 et35 RPF1 wheels (17lbs) with 235-40-18 V720 sticky tires:

Lots of people here go with the 19x9.5 setup and say there is no rubbing but i have to make sure before going this route my self:
when you guys say no rubbing, you mean i can throw the car into corners/kick the tail out/hit pot holes/have full load and still it won't rub at all?
Also, i'm planing on using 235/35/19, how stretched is this setup? how much less comfortable than running it on a 19x8 or 19x8.5 wheel?
Sorry for the noob questions, i really want this aggressive look but afraid of compromising too many things i like about my S3.

So far I have experienced zero rub and on spirited drives. This all depends on the tire you run because some have thicker rim protectors or sidewalls than others.
I would not run 235/35's on my 19x9.5's as personal preference. I don't like a super stretchy look and the ride is a tad harsh than what I'd like. The 245/35's on 9.5's give you more height and a more practical/comfortable ride.

Finalizing on a Nano hopefully tomorrow. I came across a deal on a "not so aggressive" fitment on a set of black OZ Ultras. 19x8 et40. Based on what my brother's running, an 8.5" et35 which seem perfect and with consideration to the stock Fuchs (measured with flush kit), I'm thinking a small front spacer 3mm if any at all along with an 8-10mm in the rear, it should be decent. I've used willtheyfit calc. Just wondering if anyone running a thinner rim. I'd also like to run a 235/245 tire, but that might be too meaty on an 8" inch wheel? Looking for some thoughts. Wheels are only 1k
I should say, I'm not a fan of black wheels, but these might look pretty nice and I could always swap here and there with my brother (gun metal forgestar 5 spoke)

The facelift is slowly growing on me. Definitely looks good from this particular angle. Curious why you chose to run spacers instead of getting the wheels made with an offset that would sit them flush? I know you go through a lot of wheels, so perhaps it's just a case of "they can't all be custom". Haha.

Yea, the CH-R has tons of fits, but none of them nailed the look I wanted. And I always run rear spacers no matter what. The SQ has 5mm rear spacers. I have 3/4/5/7/8/10/12/15mm spacers, and I've never been afraid to use them! [:D]

Ok...i have looked over every post and did not see what i was looking for...so I apologize if I missed it.
I have 18x8.5's ET43 and it appears the widest tire for these rims are 255. I'd still like to keep a 40 series tire.
I am also on H&R coil overs and fairly low.
Would I see issues with rubbing or poke at 255/40? I have no issues with the stock set up . 225/40's rubbing.
I don't want roll or pull panels....i am ok with a small spacer, but if i could avoid that as well, it would be preferred.
Any hekp would be awesome

You would need at least 3mm spacers but could go as high as 10mm and not rub anywhere on a lowered car.

Rotors are 355x32mm. If you meant something else by "rings" let me know, hopefully I guessed right. Haha. As for spacers I was thinking of doing 12.5 up front and 17.5 in the rear. So if 10/15 should clear then I'll be even better. :-)

Hey all,
I've had my 2017 S3 sedan since mid December and am wondering about fitment. I'm looking to get some Rotiform TMBs in 19X8.5 with the stock summer tires (235/35 iirc). My question comes in with what offset I should get. I know the +45 is safe and close to factory sizes, but the I'm looking at the +35 as I think it will look better. From what I've read it seems like it will fit with the body of the car but I am concerned that I might have issues hitting the shock in the rear. Will 19X8.5 +35 fit all around without rubbing and without having to use a spacer? Thanks!

It took me forever to decide what wheels to buy as the options where i live are very limited. But when i saw these i finally pulled the trigger.
2017 R8 Reps. 19x8.5 et40 on 235x35x19", not so aggressive but since i cant go with a wider tire size i decided i'll go for the safe width and offset and play with spacers after lowering it. I really need some Coilovers now!

8.5, et35 with 235/245 & some 255's will fit just fine.
If you scroll through this thread, you'll see a couple examples. Not a super aggressive fitment at all

Nice. I had to roll my front fenders in order to air out,I'm also at -1.6 front and rear
You only have so much adjustment on the front tho. Anything more then -2 or so and you might have to cut metal on the front struts as they would hit

That is impressive! I didn't think 10 wide could fit without fender mods. I'm definitely going to try 9.5 et35 next.

The rears fit fine, the fronts not so much lol. Poke at least half inch.
Had the fronts rolled today but still hitting a bit. Time for a Pull I think to make it work until my other items show up.
Can't fit anything higher then a 35 offset with a 10 without hitting the struts

I didn't think I'd like the Merlin Purple on The S3 but damn, this looks good.
