Here’s a brief summary of my current car’s timeline. I place the order for my car on August 17. On August 19, it was entered into the system for build and I received my commission number. Car wasn’t assigned a production date until ~ December 8. Port Arrival Date (San Diego) was scheduled for January 17. I was expecting to either get the car either on Jan 24/25. I left the gym last week (Jan 20) and noticed a truck filled with Audis on the 101 freeway. Finally got a hold of the manager at around 3pm, and what do you know, my car was being unloaded! They scheduled me a pick up from my house (~15 miles away) to take care of the paperwork etc. I also want to give a shout-out to ActiveS5 (Chris) for helping me out with some technicalities I encountered. Without further ado, I present to you my 2014 Audi A5.

That's badass. I saw one kitted out the same way when I first started looking at 5s, and almost got it. I personally wouldn't have been happy with the T4 so I went with the s5, but they really did a nice job on the design on the A5 S-lines with the gray/black scheme.

And yes, that wheel gap is huge but your H&R's will take care of that. I cant get over the wheel gap on these 13 and 14 A5/S5's.

Wheel gap is less noticeable in person, but I agree, they're awful in pics. Hopefully if all goes well, Wheels, Ecodes, Coils, and Carbon trim all go on this Friday.

Hopefully all mods go on tomorrow. I asked my fiancee to help me debadge my car (what is this guy thinking, asking a girl to do it, but she's really crafty etc).

Anyway, before I got this pic, she sent me a photoshopped version without the rings. She wanted to see how upset I would be. I lost my mind for a good 5 minutes. I felt like Walter White when Jesse told him he had all his money. Thankfully, it was a joke. She shall live on.

02/01/14 - Dropped with H&R Coilovers and 55% Tint. Did not have time to put on the BBS LMs yet. I still need to go MOAR Lower on the front, but I'm cool with the back. One finger gap on the rear and 1.75 finger gap on the front. Only Iphone photos for now.



02/02/14 - Ecodes Installed w/ various VAGCOM stuff. I set the DRLS to 100 =P (Stock is 26)

I actually want to be seen with the car. As i get older, the lighter the tint I'll go (I've also gotten a tint ticket with every car I've ever owned). On my S5 I had 35% with red interior. 55% is perfect, just enough to block out some heat =)

Also, what are you using for LED signal bulbs?

First time installing coils and I was wondering what the settle period is.

I've driven about 180 miles on them within 24 hours from installing, but have not driven it since the install period.

The Rear is currently sitting at ~25.75 Inches (Photo), Front is Sitting at approximately ~26.00 inches (Not Pictured)



After I put on my new wheels, I think I should drop the rear by another 12mm (.47") and the front by 24mm (.94"). What do you think?

Also, for those with Coils, how often do you scrape? I'm just trying to factor in everything. I am in LA, but I primarily drive the car between Fridays - Sundays and occasional Vegas trips.

Thank you! Ecodes were bought from Germany. There's a lot of vendors here that are selling it as well. I got a one time deal from a seller who was selling them, and I bought some other stuff from him so I haggled quite a bit. ECS Tuning charges ~$1200 for housing only. Not sure if that fits your budget, but it is available. ~$1500 if you have adaptive =X
