Can I just change the digit indicated or do I subtract a given value from my number and then add a different number?
If you are attempting to change your seatbelt chime, read the "Appendix 1" portion carefully and multiple times. I am not trying to be condescending but I spent hours reading about VAGCOM and these basic mods before I attempted them (Type A, perfectionistic personality). ALWAYS write down your original codes before changing any.
Try at your own risk, but if 0023268 was your original code, you could try 00232
58 (for NAR old) or 00232
08 to eliminate all notifications. If that does not work, I am moving outside my comfort level but you could try either 0023251 or 0023201.
Separately, module 46 changes are simply additions and subtractions to your
existing code. The existing code can vary from car to car.
