    Re: Install coming home feature?

The one you found Bische is for left hand drive, is it the one you need? I thought Sweeden drove on the left. The one Wrightc21 is giving you is for the United Kingdom spec, Euro spec or Right hand drive.

Sweden drives on the right, with lefthand cars :) Only the mailcars have righthanded cars.

EDIT: We used to drive on the right back inte the 70's

    Re: Install coming home feature?

So the one you have on the e-bay link will work for you. The wiring harness is the same just so you should be able to use the one from Audiforum.us easily. Good luck, be careful messing with those wires.

OIC, well, good luck whatever you decide to do, I know there's a place in the UK called hazzy days, they install electronics on VAG vehicles, maybe if you look them up they have a write up. They frequent that forum and are an advertiser there.

    ding ding. me too.

it works with the 'auto' headlight feature, which the ambient light is measured by the special rear view mirror then will turn the fogs on accordingly.

From what I've read: yes, if you have the "F" module(highline).
I have the "e" module (lowline) so ihave to either swicth module or build my own coming home.

I am building my own but I miss some wiring diagrams to complete it, I need diagrams for the interior lightning

Will do that, keep in mind you got the highline module so it wont work the exact same way with your wiring.

if you have the "f" module, you should be able to follow the 8P A3 DIY i posted.

    Re: Install coming home feature?

Dying for this feature myself. Always found it really odd that it was even possile to get an Audi in 2002 without automatic headlights...especially since it has auto dimming rear and side view mirrors. Haven't had a car in 10 years that I had to turn the lights on...weird.

So my car has manual headlights...can I retrofit it with coming home or do you need auto lights? I'm assuming my car is an E car since I have manual lights?

    Re: Install coming home feature?

I'm pretty sure that this feature, and also the auto feature for headlights, was offered for 2004+ models. This has been discussed before and i think that was the verdict that was reached. I wish i had both of those features as well.

You can retrofit this, but this is not an easy task, this involves installing sensors, modules and lots of wiring. I'm pretty sure someone has done this here, Avanteix maybe... I actually pulled the new switch along with the new plate that has the coming home button off a B7 and replaced mine. The switch works fine, the Auto actually works (kind off) without a sensor, the lights just turn on and off with the car but they will be on at all times and will turn off as you turn the car off. The coming home of course don't work just there for looks.
