Anyone have trouble with order from Race3

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has ordered from Jay at Race3.

Ordered a headlight duct 2 months ago. I’ve been reaching out and his responses have been hit or miss.

Anyone buy anything from him with the same service?

I hate when businesses can’t take a few minutes to shoot out some emails saying things are taking longer it wouldn’t save soooo much headache then the run around.

Ordered the radiator support and headlight from Jay. Communication isn’t the best, but the quality of work is exceptional. I am still waiting on my headlight

Isn’t easier to just email customers and just say sorry running behind give me a month. Smh.

I can’t even remember when I ordered the headlight to be honest, but he was upfront with me saying that they would take awhile when I ordered it.

That’s understandable…the last I spoke to him he gave me the “it’s already shipped but the shippers can’t provide a tracking number…” blah blah

I still haven't gotten mine and I ordered it in July. The only thing you get is excuses and empty promises. At this point I was going to make FB warning people not to do business with him

I bought the same headlight intake in the beginning of September and it has been radio silence. I'm in no rush at this point as the events I wanted to use it at are over. But, some communication would be nice.

I have been awaiting the new design of head light duct for quite sometime, I'm on my second form supplier for this product and shipping them air to get here has been out of the question as then it becomes not profitable for me, I want to to be a future offering. Maybe you have heard, ocean cargo from a few points in the world have been a stand still. Ocean cargo is taking a very long time to deliver.

How does this effect your situation? Well in anticipation of the new design coming I have been sitting on your order as the old design leaving it with my shipping agent, drawing departure out as long as possible, because the new design is better. I realize people want what they pay for, but it is a "want" item for a car and not a "need" item like a timing belt, to get you mobile. So from my perspective, I've been holding out on letting it go, and quite a few have been saying they will wait.

I'm really not trying to cause frustration, just some things don't go as planned, and it's a hard balance when you want a better product in the hands of the customer.

I can certainly give you the original design within your 14 day ultimatum.

How funny, I spoke to him literally 1 week ago and he said it had been shipped. When I asked about tracking he said and I quote "the shipping company right now is all messed up so they are not being able to give me tracking info but yes, it has shipped."

Funny he sent me a fake shipping label that went no where and then told me that he would go over the new order with me the next week and disappeared. Then finally gave me an explanation above

I was the first to receive his subframe, took....~2 years but dam it's a nice piece. I laid a deposit for a custom full sized belly pan, ended up getting it back as the duration of time it took. Looked like he kept getting caught up in personal projects, dude is super tough to get ahold of. Apparently he was the ~R&D guy for Vibrant (which is kinda cool). Like, if it was already built & packed would I buy again? Yes Gonna be, "Working on it, still fussing with it" no, I mean even 2-3 months is kinda long when you get basically ~stuck.

Nothing. Last we spoke he was aiming at a month but I’ve heard that sooo many times now. I give up. He doesn’t seem like he won’t refund your money, but just doesn’t seem motivated to get his parts out. Idk

The guy makes some cool shit. I have a buddy that lives in the same town. Still had a hard time getting his stuff. I haven't been there myself (he's about an hour and a half away from me) but from what I gathered it's a one man show with enough orders pending to keep 10 guys working for the next 6 months...
So yeah... Not much more I can say...
