Wonderfull, you not messing around but ;)! Enjoy.
PS: sorry for asking and might be offtopic, but does anybody by change know more about the tranny coding? I'm looking for what type of coding 'language/type' the trans leaver is sending to the ECU when you put it to go from D->S->D. I know there is one single wire responsible for that. If not mistaken the diagrams were refurring it as a normal signal wire. Didn't had the change yet to let a few tech guys to log into it or onto the specific wire itself.
Plan is, if modules work, to have a dedicated button to swap transmission mode on steeringwheel.
Anyway, sorry for offtopic, keep up the good build and keep it safe :).

Great build thread! I love your mods, and your car! Any chance you have the OEM rings puddle lights? If you would be willing to part with them how much would you want?

I did not know that.. Does that apply to the A6/A7 with the 8sp ZF too when moving to Manual from D vs. S?

Thanks man, this one has been fun too. A little easier the second time around, I do miss the 6 often and would do that one again in 2016 if given the choice. The RS7 was/is really expensive new.

Having fun with it! Remember I was nagging you about brake sweep info on the Ceramics? HAhahahaha, not sure on the tranny coding, the shifter doesn't need to be mechanical but that's what Audi chose. Getting into S isn't hard, it's just remembering to do that before M. Drive Select button is helpful but sometimes a direct RACE mode button instead of cycling the drive select modes would be nice.

Thanks man, I do still have the OEM rings, they developed some sparkle lights away from the rings so wouldn't sell them. Will give them to you if you want, PM your info and we can figure out shipping.

Unsure if the same modes or not, knowing Audi I think it would be something in their performance programming style to do it the same when available.

Thread updated with Matrix headlights and dynamic sweep signals all around.

What did you do with your HRE wheels? Why the change? I do like the gunmetal with the black, especially with the black optics package.

The HRE's weren't perfect when I got them, some blemishes on 3 wheels. Will decide to keep or sell whenever I get them back. Have been trying to get another set of wheels from our other members here but the 420mm brakes create a bit of an issue with clearances and I purchased some Strasse forged 21s that didn't fit which is a hassle to deal with so just ordered the BC Forged. Price was under 4k shipped and delivered within 3 weeks of order so can't beat that for brand new forged wheels to whatever spec you want. Cuts are a bit angular/straight and not as massaged after machining as high end (HRE/ADV/etc) wheels so the concavity is not as noticeable at every angle but 1/3-1/2 price works for me.

Color came out good, was originally going to do the brushed black but those can come out bronze or other tints that when compared to the HRE brushed tint just don't compare.

Did you have any quality or fitting issues with the carbon dash end caps? They look great and might grab a set.

Also not sure if your HRE setup would fit my car but if they do, let me know if you ever sell.

Carbon end caps fit perfectly, they are oem panels overlay so the fuse puller transfers over like it should. I don't think these HRE's would fit a 6, it would be like running a 28mm spacer on the stock wheels. https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...9-5&offset2=27

    Updating after some changes.

Point of no return is familiar territory for me. Point of no return is when you would need to do a whole lot of work to revert to stock. I really should've done this with the white S6 but the trans needing to be replaced derailed that plan. I don't mod by committee, like or no like I do this stuff for me and a few friends knew this was happening. Took too long at the body shop that I won't mention, it is a clinched kit which I won't mention too much either since the US office gave me a jacked up offset that was nowhere near right and wasted a set of wheels.

BIG thanks for my TWCompetition guys for moral and mental support. I hated having a long distance relationship. Blake at North West Auto Salon and Right Away Tire, Ben "Mops" @Nemesis, Alex@Europrice, Kelly and the guys at Achtuning.

Output and some construction photos to get to this point.

Off to body shop in Cali.

    The widebody pieces

    This was a 21x11.5 +5 with 295/30-21. Way the f off.

Using a big spacer. Decided the 295 was way too sissy for the rear, do not want to run too wide of a tire up front so waited until the car was back to do my own measurements.

    Fully molded in kit.

Painted, lots of cutting involved. Everything but the hood and trunk was painted, roof was cleared over so there was no lines.

    Daylight.

Day before transport back to Seattle.

This was a set of 275/35-21 winter tires I had lying around. Wanted to get the metal edge of the wheel to the body line for measurement. No intention of driving on stretched tires. Think this was a 40mm spacer in the back on top of a 21x11.5 +5 offset is essentially 21x11.5 -35.

Winter tire was technically too tall so put my stock 275/30-21 tires on. Even higher level of RETARDED stretch!

3rd set of BC Forged wheels for the RS7. Wanted monoblocks but no one thinks running this negative of an offset is safe for a super concave face. Like clockwork, BC Forged delivers from Taiwan in 4 weeks even during this world wide game of cooties.

21x10.5 -25 front, 21x12.5 -25 rear. Offset can go lower, intentionally running a little conservative for the expected Widebody growing pains. Been here before, don't full send that shit out of the gate.
    275/30-21 PS4S front, 325/25-21 PS4S rear.
    https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...-5&offset2=-25
    https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...-5&offset2=-25

    Shoulder example I found of 325/25-21 on a 12.5

    PS4S Premium touch sidewalls.

RS7 went to North West Auto Salon after ordering the wheels. Plan, full Xpel PPF and Ceramic Pro. The photo filter hid most of the body changes, hahaha.

The tape is to highlight some clearancing we needed to do for full wheel travel. Not on air and need the car to be fully functioning and not that parked hard look.

    Tow to another body shop.

Wheel test fit. Gas cap off for PPF.

Received from Alex@europrice RS6 wheel liners to make something work for the wheels. Running without wheel liners is ill advised, launching rocks and debris into crevices and between panels is a nightmare.

Back last week and North West Auto Salon was able to finish their work. Incredible attention to detail and like Achtuning, Europrice and Nemesis I'm happiest working with those of similar passion.

Prepreg carbon engine cover from TMC Motorsports in the UK. https://www.tmcmotorsport.com/product/6097

    New Audi Sport keyring. ZAW-087-610-A

Have had wheel hangers but new wheels the bolt holes are super tight, the Bloxsport bar I've had didn't fit.
    ABN bars are $16 a pair. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Little black one is $7 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Bloxsport are $18 a pair. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-M14x1-...8AAOSwmaJcNB~K

Achtuning visit to get on the alignment rack. Rear at -1 degree of camber

    More later. Rings life.

Thanks man, I over plan at times. Wish the RS7s had more options overall, for a first gen car it hasn't been terrible.

Gracias! Don't let those wheels go to just anybody when you move onto another set. I'm not sure there is another set in North America. B8 and B7s look amazing with those on.

Thank you Alex for always coming through. The RS6 rear wheel liner fit the bill well, used pieces from the front too. Thought about more aero but decided against too much sauce. Will be ordering more goodies soon.

Car looks just like mine (when yours was stock lol). Mine is an '18 RS7 Performance in Mythos Black with a carbon wrapped wing from previous owner and blacked out front. You got me thinking of so many other ideas of what to do with mine. Although the widebody isn't for me I am intrigued at the headlights and some of the other goodies.

Sorry for all the questions I have a bunch if you don't mind!

Where'd you find that P3 Trackpack and what can it do (or where can I read up more about it)?
Was the upgraded sub in the back a simple "plug n play" with the B&O system?
what's the final performance power you're putting down (e.g. Dragy or 1/4mi or 60-130?) and with what go-fast parts?
The mirrors are carbon stock so what was the point of changing them out? Was it the sequential lighting?
What's the auto-brake button do? Require coding to function?
What TCU tune is that? Does it enable it to rapidly shift (like in AMAX from a launch) rather than doing the BRAAAAP over-run between shifts which slows the car down.

It still mostly looks the same.

P3 looks like they moved to v3 now, on v2 you needed the track pack to get after heater exchanger IAT. Assume the v3 now does it on it's own and they added ethanol fuel read out as an add on now. http://www.p3cars.com/audi/p3-v3-obd...uge-2011-2018/
Sub is simplish, caker has one too. I pulled the stock B&O sub enclosure and used that space for the amp. Straight forward with a LC2i and more booms. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...ghlight=basser
Ran the track last year, APR stage 2 on 100 it went 10.6. Never really posted that, these cars just do that with their eyes shut.
Mirrors I took apart for euro glass and the blinkers so all the signals were dynamic. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...=dynamic+blink
TCU is from Melen, he's banned here now cause of not being an vendor. It's done with a HPTuner MPVI2 device, you pull the stock program send to one of the people that mess with the ZF and they send back to you for a fee. The HPTuners device needs 4 credits to flash the ZF. And yep, the ZF tuners can program the AMAX to come on more easily in the different modes. Shifts quite fast when engaged.

Forgot to address the Auto Brake, it's all in a thread on the forums, I bought an oem part from ebay and used the coding in the thread. It's ok, the RS7s don't have start/stop which helps the actual use but I don't drive in too much traffic so hardly ever use the feature. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...-Hold-Retrofit

Alcantara interior ordered from Europe, still waiting for the tunnel to arrive. PODs kit arrives next week so front seats can be swapped out. Have to mod the mod so a few more weeks before the full interior swap.

Interior didn't come with the shifter so ordered a new one.

Rear seat and Door cards swapped to know how the RnR works.

Carbon overlayed triangle to install next time the front door cards come off.

Dam it, I lost you at the shifter huh? Promise, RS plus will not be all over the car and I won't put the shifter in until the rest of the stitching matches. Really appreciate your informative and helpful posts, we lost wwhan to the B9 world already.

Thanks man, haven't updated the posts in a bit. Waiting on more parts and deciding exactly what to do next.

Had the whole car PPF'd with Expel, has held up well to debris on the rear quarters which for sure are target practice for the front tires.

You mean to say that if I slide the shifter over to M mode from D... it will be less aggressive than if I slide the shifter over to M mode from S?

Our DIS doesn't show the same as the R8 does but think it behaves the same. At the track to make sure I'm in a good S mode I usually cycle/switch into Dynamic which forces S and go from there instead of just pulling it into S. My S6 I remember the S mode would usually automatically go back to D where the RS or the ZF stays in S forever or at the very least a lot longer.

At some point the PNWers need to get together again, Sexual Chocolate organized a little drive up to Mount St Helens recently. Was fun, that dude is a driver. I am a fairly spirited driver, triple digits is common but I have to turn it up to match his crazy. Was over 150 at a few points driving down the Mexico 5.

    I can whore photos here.

Not Prior Design, considered their kit which comes with more pieces including different front bumper (pre-facelift), different rear bumper with slats on the sides and their front and rear diffusers are a decent touch. Personal preference, I'm not into the bubble flares of the Prior kit and the diffusers don't come in a carbon option so downgrade overall. Lastly, while the Clinched is a bit more aggressive from certain angles like seeing lots ol tire it follows the natural body lines better.

Thanks Alex! Looking forward to those parts, like really looking forward to them. Also owe the other members a video of the Matrix lighting on the road. It's trippy and hard to describe. I took a shitty iPhone against the steering wheel video but it's shaky, have an idea to make that work better.

I would never drive fast in a loaner SQ5. Nor would I stand on the seats or lay in the back to take photos. LIES!
