Parting it out was from work life balance being well out of whack. Got a little more balance last year but didn't seem like remodding the same car again was ideal or logical. So the hunt was on for something else. Ordered a Suzuka RS5, with every option including Alcantara after seeing the initial launch cars were all without Drivers Assistance which meant no top view parking. In the mean time drove a RS3, RS5, TTRS, looked at a few other brands and nothing was compelling. Canceled the RS5 order after realizing I'm not a coupe guy, and the sales were really bad meaning really bad depreciation, with the slow sales the custom order came in before it could be canceled.

Could never stomach the new car depreciation of the RS7 so facelift cars starting becoming more available but the dam PODS hold was holding up inventory. Many many comfort seating cars available but limited number of sport seats. A few possible cars around the country popped up but the really good ones sold quickly. UW Audi posted a 2016 RS7 Performance with 12.2k miles, which was intriguing for under 90k ask, sales guy told me over email if I wanted to buy it sight unseen since it was going to be in prep for a few days before sale. I laughed, I wanted the opposite of the black car which would be several thousands to wrap. Buying locally would save me flying out to see a car and shipping.
Pretty much had me at hello but resisted committing. Achtuning did a PPI, no VIN in the APR database (check), turbo lines all dry (check), no signs of body disassembly (check), and suspension bolts never touched (check)

Car was not a lease, from what UW Audi tells me the previous owner was a construction company owner and based on the miles it was a pleasure car. 30 months from new it basically saw 400 miles a month and the maintenance records were on perfect for my liking. I don't drive much like this previous owner, my S6 was traded in with under 11k miles.
2016 Mythos Black RS7 Performance: Alcantara, B&O and Drivers Assistance. From reading and gathering, the US Performance model standard differences are below.
Overboost 605HP/553TQ vs 560HP/512TQ
190mph top speed vs. 174mph
DRC spring suspension
420/370 Ceramic Brakes
Red boost gauge
Drive Select button on the steering wheel
Soft Close Doors
21" 5 Double Arm wheels
I'm a pay it forward person when possible with knowledge and info, the general culture on this forum is pretty good with some very helpful enthusiasts sharing their passion. Noticed we lost some old timers and some performance heads, we all start into a platform only knowing so much so while influxes of new owners can bring up repetitive questions it's all a net positive to help each other out.
Less blah blah, more mods. OK!
Love the forums for used wheels, one of the highest priced mods you can do that depreciates like no other. Instantaneous 40-50% loss in value unless you find the right buyer at the right time

Found a set of the newer HRE caps, if anyone has had HREs before the older flat caps spin. HRE logo should be straight with the valve at 6 o'clock, I'm OCD enough to always want it that way and have the wheel lock at 12 o'clock

Black cars in the dark hide the massive wheel gap. 21x9.5" HRE P101, +22 and +27 offsets, Brushed tint. Wanted to get some lip protection and better than 6 sized side wall so running 285/30-21 Michelin PSS. Them dam side markers in the bumpers are ugly, most regions outside of North America don't even have the openings front and rear for those lights.

Cete Valve controller to get a bit more control out of the valves.

Had to take it in for some Warranty work. MMI button was 60-70% of the time working to select, this was just a bad button. SIM card slot seemed to never work for the previous owner. Data history showed a few KB so ended up with a new MIB, needed to try to update maps over the air but it was too far out of date for over the air. More photos and info on USB update over here. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post13523311

Tag Side Markers finally came in. So much wheel gap!

Parts started piling up at home. Needed to dig out so KW HAS, Eurocode Alu Kreuz and sways, 034 inserts all installed at Achtuning. Quick alignment, nothing terribly out of whack. More photos and info on DRC over here. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...fo-and-options

Dynamic sweeping mirrors. More photos here. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post13411227

P3 with Trackpack, seeing post charge cooler IATs is a huge plus. the heatsoak after parking these cars is eye opening.

Carbon endcaps. Cheap mod, German seller wraps oem panels. https://www.ebay.de/usr/e.h.exklusiv...p2047675.l2559

Carplay box! Very worthwhile, most OEM NAV systems feel or operate in a dated manner as tech moves forward. More photos and info here. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post13433159

RS7 mats from across the pond. Have only seen hints of Audi Sport Exclusive RS7 mats but never really seen them. Pricing from a friend at Audi was going to be $800. No thanks.

Added Euro Dynamic tails from Alex@Eurorpice.
Was lucky and got a Basser sub enclosure, JL amp and sub plus the OEM panel already cut. Had to have a friend meet up in DC to pick up and parts and ship to me, the panel is incredibly odd shaped. Prior to this had meddled with adding a different sub which raised the bass a little but not enough boom. The B&O is crisp and clear but not bass heavy.

Waited patiently for Mike's Customs downpipes, took them to coating.

PODS warranty work had a long out schedule at Audi Bellevue which is my preferred dealer. Helpful peeps here said Tacoma was scheduling much faster, Kelly at Achtuning said wait to do engine mods if PODS work was to be done, which saved me from getting TD1 flagged. Had the oiling system updated to new parts while the downpipes were getting put in. Clean screen, replaced the easy to access stuff while they were in there so I have peace of mind for tuning.

Straight to stage 2, if there was a stage 3 setup ready I would've done that but not going to play the waiting for a tuner game while your car is hobbled.

Got a Melen ZF8 TCU Tune going.

Live in a condo in the city so only so much space being solo cholo.
