Basser subwoofer box install questions and "challenges"

Hi guys. I have a 2014 rs7. I purchased the basser woofer box and am having a few issues installing it. I took off the side panel of the trunk area and removed the back part (I'll try to show some photos). When trying to install the basser box, it seems too tight to fit in the cubbie area. I can get it part of the way in, but without using a crazy amount of force, it won't in. I haven't even really started to get to the top part which seems to stick out too far to fit.

Has anyone else with an rs7 installed this thing or does anyone else have any feedback on this part of the job? I don't want to force it too bad for fear of damaging things around this area. Even with the side panel off the car, I can't seem to get it to fit.

    Thoughts or suggestions?

Having mine installed professionally in two weeks, shop also told me they recently an A7 with the basser box. The box was good quality, just needed some extra sound deadening material added.

the box is great quality and a bargain for the price. I just need to figure out how to get it to sit right. Here's some photos.IMG_0341.jpgIMG_0343.jpgIMG_0350.jpgIMG_0348.jpg

You're supposed to cut the OEM panel. Even cutout it is a tight fit which is a good thing.

I could never get mine to fit perfectly flush, it was hitting the main wiring harness I think

Mine is in there pretty well, I have to put it in from the bottom and kinda tilt it in. If I pull it out I usually get into the back and push it in like a leg press. I had to shave down the 12v lighter hole for that to fit but it fits too, carpet is a little thick.

I haven't done the screw they recommend. Makes it less tool necessary to remove for me.

I didn't use screws either, I opted for an elastic tie down. Doesn't look great, but the box won't budge.
