Operating Windows and Sunroof with Remote, vcds

I programmed the window remote function through vcds vag com , but I am only able close Windows and sunroof. Any one know why I can't open all windows with remote?


I used the following instructions:




Operating Windows and Sunroof with Remote
(Note, the sunroof cannot be opened with the remote)
You need to continuously hold the remote button for the function to operate.

[Long Coding Helper]
Click on each of the Byte numbers in line 3) and you'll see the selectable options below.
Check the box for "Comfort Operation: Remote Control active"

Close the Long Coding Helper by clicking the Windows X box on the top right of the screen or clicking the Exit button on the top left of the screen) will send your new Coding value back to the Coding screen.

This is what I did.

Holding the unlock button down on the remote after unlocking the car lowers my windows

You have to go into your car's setting to enable it too I think.

Press the "car" button and then navigate from there to find unlocking features with the key fob.

Nope. In my MMI it only has an enable/disable selection. It dies mot distinguish between up and down

It doesn't distinguish up or down. It just needs to be enabled in the mmi after coding it.

If you can close the windows with your remote, that means you've programmed it correctly. As someone already stated, you need to hold the unlock button for a bit after you've unlocked the car. Sometimes mine fails, likely because of an interruption in the wireless signal. It works pretty consistently when I'm close to the vehicle.

I programmed it correctly, just forgot to go into the mmi and find the newly added window option and enable it correctly. It all works now

for the record, it's under the door lock settings in the mmi

That looks really easy. The pricing for write capability is a bummer, but I'm guessing I'll make some changes and leave them forever. Appreciate the post; this is the route I'll take.

It's worth having for codes on fly, keep in the glovebox. There was still a backdoor open for the full purchase a week ago, not sure if it's still up though.

There are lots of fake or questionable reviews on most of the ELM327 units on Amazon, so I think I'm going to keep it simple and get the Carista hardware module. I guess I'll spend a few extra bucks for some peace of mind.

Yeah the elm ones aren't created equal my first one was super fast and connected no problems .. My second one I have to start the car.. Connect it then shut the car off and start the car again before my phone will connect

That's stupid. It used to be $39 one time and you're good for life. Now it's per year? Seems greedy to me.

Aside from all that, it's an awesome device for customizing. I've used mine many times on several diff vehicles.

They are going with the Microsoft Office 365 model .. I think since they added the service reset and the parking brake release.. 2 big money makers for users of the product they didn't want ppl making money off the product

I'm actually paranoid of this happening, so I usually try to make sure my keys are out of range. One time I opened the windows on my M3 without knowing. Had I not run outside to grab something before going to bed I would have left my windows wide open that night.

Does anyone know how to disable the brake lights from flashing with the turn signals ?
The picture shows just the turn signal flashing without the brakelight , just the way I want them . I believe this is standard in Europe not in US I guess .Screenshot_20190921-102906_1.jpeg
