though fitment isnt perfect. I need some beefier spacers as they rub on the front caliper, that or grind down the caliper a bit. This test fit I actually stacked two 8mm spacers and I'm not comfortable running that permanently. While I could probably get away with it, I'm not sure I want to risk it.



Here's the studs, shouldn't i have some threads showing? I don't know the rule for number of threads with studs and wheel bolts.

I have similar wheels, I planned on using for the track. Never did try fitment though.

If you've got miro 279's they are tricky to fit.

calipers ground down, wheels fit.



tonight my pilot sport 235's replace the 225's currently on there, which should fill out the wheel wells a little. these 18's look a little tiny, but they give me a lot of room to go lower if I wanted, and eventually I'll run a 255 or 265 tire on there for a more meety look. right now there's too much stretch for my taste.



Also thinking about throwing the pinup on there again.

Personally, I would not feel at all comfortable running with anything less than all the nut threads seating on the stud and a little extra like in the pic below. Just look what happened to Operator's back wheel. He didn't have enough thread, and the wheel fell off!

Since grinding the caliper a bit I no longer have this issue. the studs go all the way through the nuts with a few threads exposed. I feel a lot better about it now then i did when i took that test fit picture. Operator's experience freaked me the f out, and I've been chronically checking everything since then. So far so good.

Other news.. I got pulled over today for non mva issued front plate and tint. Its funny because I've never really felt profiled before. I ended up with a warning for the front plate and a fix it for the tint, so not bad all things considered. They measured 20%, which makes sense I guess. I went with a 28%, and with the little bit of factor tint i guess it adds up. I have to at least strip the front windows, and maybe I'll go full fishbowl. downside... I'll have to keep my interior tidy again.

The girl is lowered on Neuspeed sport, but the ID# on the spring is not for my car; B7 2.0t also a avant. The rep from Neuspeed assured me it was the right one so I am guessing they have the same springs for the different cars.
I have a rake going and the front is lower as can be seen from the pictures. These VMR are like butter so i would like to protect it with more meat on the tire.

I also have pics of my modified tail wipers but brought the wrong SD card home. Did you wipers scratch your glass at all?

Will, did you ever get your issues sorted out with the lack of power in the upper RPM's? Was it a tune issue or something else?

Mine still isn't figured out. Still waiting for Uni at this point unless anyone with a Tip has success with Maestro (in which case I would switch as this has been dragged out long enough).

Hey will thanks for inspiring me
On getting a tow hook :-)
I notices yours was crooked. I did not
Like how far mine stuck out, so I removed the nut but then the hook bottomed out. So I toook about a quarter inch of threads off and then used different washers until the hook snugged up in a straight up down orientation, and it set back a half inch more without the snug nut they give you.
Still wish it set closer to the bumper lol

the wagon is currently at RAI to assist in another customers warranty claim, and while there they're going to sort out the little bugs. I'll also be picking up the RAI catch can and maybe downpipe when I get it back. I should do another dyno at some point...

The avant is back! RAI adjusted the wastegate and ran some logs but we didn't have a chance to get it back on the dyno. It feels more like it should, no massive spike of torque and then blah. I'll be interested to see how it does once I get the downpipe on there.
