Went on another little adventure on Christmas and shot a few new ones :]

You really picked a perfect day to take those shots. I was driving up the 73 on Christmas, and I could see all the way through Santa Ana and down the coastline. It's never been that clear! One of the most relaxing drives I've had.

It really was a beautiful day to go out for a drive Izzu...made for a very relaxing and enjoyable Christmas day indeed! Pretty warm winter, but I'm not complaining however I did get a chance to go drive some more into the mountains yesterday and took her out into the snow for the first time

Used different processing techniques, but I think they each work well in their own way. Enjoy!

Love every bit of it. It's hands down the best bang-for-the-buck I've invested in this car. MPG hasn't improved, but it hasn't gone down even though I drive with a heavier foot now.

Yup, it was the first time working with the CF vinyl and surprisingly easy to work with and do. The hardest part is just popping the pieces out of the bumper.

Thanks guys! I was I had more building in my build thread as it's currently about 90% photography haha but hopefully some new goodies soon. Next mods will probably be a set of sway bars since I spend so much time in the twisties, but I'm dying for ecodes too.

I also went on a spontaneous drive out to Ojai/Maricopa Highway and Santa Barbara this morning...ended up being a 6-hr, 345mi drive. I can't even begin to explain how much I love being out in the quiet and having the roads all to myself. Makes for some great photo ops!

My Q5 is the first Audi I have ever owned, and I sure am loving it, but there's nothing compared to an A5 to look at. They sure are pretty! I was looking at the photos on your Flickr, and wow, just wow!

Very much appreciate the kind words. I only started a little over a year ago, and I am loving the hobby! I really like the Q5's. They drive so well and look great. Even though the Q is an SUV, the overall driving experience is suprisingly similar to the A5's.

Well, keep on sharing your great photos of a beautiful car Mops, it sure is appreciated. I can't sing the praises of my Q5 enough to people. It's not too big, not to small, handles really well even not taking into account that it's an SUV, and with the 3.0 V6 it has amazing power. And like all Audis it has that beautiful tasteful design and proportion. I am really glad that unlike so many other manufacturers, Audi isn't afraid to design a little bit of width into their cars - it makes them so much roomier inside and better looking. Which I believe is a big contributor to why the A/S/RS 5 is such a perfect design.

One thing I've been wondering TypeS2K5 - when you switched from the stock 18s to the 19s what effect if any were you able to feel in ride and handing on your car? I assume you're still riding on the original coil overs from your original build list and am curious how the car feels after the wheel change. And again, thanks for the pix, I'm totally lovin the look of your car!!

I'm a big fan of the Q5 too rodster. One of my coworkers just wrapped up her lease on the last Q5 and is now in a new 2014 and, like you said, the attention to detail and fit and finish are well above anything else you'll find in that price range. when the day comes that I need a more doors and room, you can bet that'll be my first pick

Regarding the switch from the stock 18s to 19s, there was a noticeable shift in a few areas. While going wider to 9.5 from 8.5 definitely made the car grippier, it doesn't feel quite as nimble though nothing to complain about. It might simply be that even though they're partially forged, still have a good amount of rotational mass to deal with (my mileage has actually dropped about 2mpg going from 18x8.5 to 19x9.5).

All in all, it still performs great and I've been driving a lot more confidently through the mountains and canyons. The mileage doesn't kill me and I think it's totally worth the trade off for feeling I get when walking to my car in the morning and after work.

Fender gap did change a bit. Still on H&R coilovers and had a 0.25" gap before and now I have zero gap all around. I'm not super flush with the spacers so no rubbing issues so far even with aggressive driving.

Sooo....it's been a few months since I've really been around Audizine with work, family, work, work, and a few other things sprinkled here and there, but I'm back with a few new photos. Some are from road trips, some from roaming around LA, and some in some old spots revisited.

I also now have H&R front and rear sway bars that I'm thoroughly enjoying. Much love to Raz, Khashy, and the guys at AU Tuning for all the help! That said, here goes...
