Full STG III BW K04 Build

OK guys, I put my full blown 2.8 770 build on the back burner for a future project, and decided to go full stage III on the A6. I was able to pick up the turbos and fueling kit from EPL at a good price. Now I gotta piece together a few more RS4 components and I should be ready for engine removal. Here are a few pics of what I have to date.

OEM RS4 inlets

STG III fueling kit

EPL 85mm MAF

NGK BKR7E Spark Plugs

Bosch EV14 52lb Injectors

and most important, the BW K04's

I would love to hear comments/suggestions for this build, keep in mind it is my DD and I want to keep it as comfortable and reliable as possible.

It depends on what you want out of a clutch. Do you plan on launching the car?

I have an rs4 clutch on my a6 and I love it because of the stock feel, I'm just hoping it will stand up to the increased power once I get my car dyno-tuned.

Epic amounts of WIN going on right now.

As for the clutch, I run the Spec STG3 6-puck clutch, lost a little drivability, but I don't mind too much. Rich runs the Spec STG3+ clutch, his almost feels stock, but holds the power all day. Can't go wrong with either.

Going with a lwfw too? Fidanza aluminum FTW!

Very nice. Glad to see another Stg 3 build! What are you doing for brakes? Lots of weight and lots of power...Hope you've got something in mind. What about DPs? You plan on sticking with the piggies? Something bigger? Looking forward to more progress pics!

Vin I got something in mind for engine covers but that'll have to wait

Cbock I'm gonna try to get my hands on a nice set of RS6 brakes, definitely going 3" dp's preferably with High Flow cats. I can't wait to get this build complete already, another sleeper A6 to look out for.

Just ordered the 3" 034 Downpipes with high flow cats, now all I have left is to order my clutch/flywheel setup and I can start the engine pull.

^^^ Yes, never did like cats! ;) I just like the sexy little back fires of unspent fuel passing through the exhaust every time I coast after getting on the gas a bit way too much to bother with them. Makes it worth every single hippy I piss off abusing the environment with my car!

Lol well it's too late I already called 034 and changed the setup to no cats. Honestly it won't be my dd so it's all good, and if worse comes to worst I can add a pair of high flow cats down the road.

I'm not really worried about noise, I'm sure the apr mufflers out back will keep them a bit quiter than a magnaflow setup for instance.

I know it's a bit late now. But, just thought I'd throw out another opinion/option. I've got a similar setup to what you were going to buy. And, it works well for me. Subtle~ish under normal driving. But, when I get on it....you know it. I've considered (and still may do it) getting a set of straight pipes for my track days. But on the streets, you're just begging for trouble from the po-po. At least, here in CA. I think it was Redge-something-or-other in the official exhaust thread posted a video of his car with that setup...It *IS* loud.

Anyhow...loving the progress! Looking forward to more pics and some vids when all is said and done.

Lol I was wondering the same thing!! Only thing I could come up with is that someone rents out their 2 car garage as 2 seperate bays and their solution for dividing it was a chain link fence?? Lol

Had some spare time today so I decided to get started and take the front bumper off. Sorry about the overexposed iPhone pics.

This is the first time I've personally taken off my bumper, I found a bolt missing here, and also a nut missing from the inside of the bumper. You can't trust anyone anymore.

Pretty sure that's normal. My car doesn't have a 4th bolt and I've never seen another audi with one.
