Brake discs are the same size as BFB-engined ones have. They are 312mm too. Don't know if US-models (1.8T:s) do have those "big brakes" from MY 2003 onwards.

Nope. All the b6 1.8t engines (AMB) in North America have the 288 mm brakes regardless of package. The 3.0 engine b6s in North America have the 312mm brakes. The rears are a different story.
