If I see the OEM one on eBay, I'll post the details here.
Thanks for the info! Figured the Canadians would be ones to get the option, if it existed.

There are various non OEM warmers available too. Some go in the dip stick, some stick to the oil pan, some are spliced into the radiator hose and there's a warming pad that sticks to the side of the battery.

Where can I buy a RS6 grille that is chrome/aluminum whatever around the outside? I don't have the black optics package on my C7 S6 and don't want to have to wrap all other shiny bits on the front end and window edges. I just want the shiny around the outside of the grille with the black mesh center.

You can order an ORM RS grille with whatever trim you want via Europrice.com Alternatively, many folks find less expensive options on EBay.

Can't believe I'm going to ask this, thank god for this thread.

Having a devil of a time finding an intercooler for the 2.0, is there any other model I could buy for and have it easily fabbed into the same area? I just find it so mind-blowing that I can never find any real parts for this engine. There's not even exhaust that won't have to be modified to work, it's insanely frustrating.

so....had my car services at 5000 miles (Audi Denver), had an oil change done (supposedly) but a few days ago got the engine light on saying to add no more than 1.5 quarts....find this kind of odd as these cars potentially can go 10K without a change....if the change had been done at 5K miles and i now have 835X miles....doesnt it seem odd that i'd be low? have not seen any leaks indicating the turbo seal may be leaking....i am paranoid and thinking the dealership didnt do the oil change....planning to either top it off with the proper oil or calling the dealership and letting them top it off....either way. havent checked the level yet, but figured when i do, if the oil is dark then maybe they didnt change the oil? would prefer to top off after checking but was wondering which oil to use....5w40 or 5w30? any recommendations?

This is literally burning my insides. B8 A4 2.0t and C7 A6 2.0t have the same EA888 Gen 2, correct? Parts should generally be somewhat near a direct fit?

For the 2014 S7, is there really only one cigarette lighter in the front under the arm rest?

You can either wrap the exterior door handles, or replace them entirely.

    2) You can order OEM inserts of various types for your car online, but will be very expensive through Audi directly. You might try ECS tuning or other vendors.

    3. You should probably always had wash regardless to avoid scratching up your clear coat, unless you use a touchless car wash, which would still be fine if you wrap your trim, but some people feel the chemicals they use are too harsh.

    4. Unfortunately you must remove the front bumper to replace the grill. There is an excellent DIY here on AZ regarding this. If you get an RS grill, be prepared to use a dremel to cut out many of the locking tabs on the RS grill that don't line up with our bumpers.
WoW thanks. For The grill its only taking them Loose no need for replacing the entire bumper right.

The door handles are the same as for the lid right. They are just glued on them.

For the grill, there are locking tabs that you can use zip ties to pry them open and pop the grill out. No need to replace the bumper.
I'm not certain about the door handles. I think you either need to wrap them or change the handles out completely to do a full chrome delete on them, but I could be wrong.

Hey, OlyS6... have you attempted to replace grill without removing the front bumper? do you know of any resources regarding the procedure? Thanks in advance for your time...

Sorry, only just saw this. I believe somebody recently posted on this saying that you can. I have no idea how, as those tabs are a bear to pop out in order to get the grille out (at least they were for me). I had to take my bumper off to get to everything.
Removing the bumper actually isn't very hard, and you can do it easily enough without even removing the front wheels- you just have to turn the wheels all the way in one direction to get to the bolts on the opposite side, and then turn the wheels in the opposite direction to get to all the bolts on the other side of the bumper.

Dumb question - When I had my M5, we were able to "code" the software in the car to release features not found in the US models such as eliminating the seat belt chime, closing windows and roof remotely, closing trunk from inside switch, etc. This had no effect on the warranty since it was already programmed within the car and as far as I know, there were no issues. Is this not possible with the S6? My primary objective is remote start which I believe is available on non US models.

You are looking for the vcds mod list. There are a few threads around, but here's one to get you started: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=777355

These changes can be accomplished with a couple different tools, the more popular is vcds available from www.ross-tech.com

I don't believe Audi uses remote start anywhere in the world due to EU restrictions on idling and such. So because of this, the US gets the shaft...

Thank you for the information. I'm not a good DIYer. Is there someone that can "code" remotely?

Not that I'm aware of. But some shops familiar with these cars may do them for you.

You should research a simpler tool called OBDeleven. It is an obd tool that connects to your phone. A lot of this is made easy by downloading apps designed to make certain coding changes for you. I'm not too familiar with it, but I think you have to pay for each app you want applied to the car. It can also be used to manually recode like the vcds tool.

Regardless, these tools are useful for checking/clearing codes, datalogging, and other troubleshooting.

on the underside of the trunk lid, there is a little knob that opens a long skinny cover. Whatever is inside it is empty in mine so I have no idea what's supposed to be in there. It looks like some sort of tool; maybe a lug nut wrench? What's in there?

I have a 2014 RS7 and I'm looking at a the AK-Racing-47 lowering module. It says that in order for it to work, I have to have the factory air suspension. How can I tell if I my car has this?

Your car will change ride height between comfort and dynamic mode if you're on air ride. You'll also have the "raise" function on the MMI. All RS7 in America came with air ride unless it's the Performance edition.

Does anyone else get a static shock when exiting their C7 and closing the car door? This never happened to me with my B8 S4, but happens nearly every time I exit my S6. Other than the car, I don't think anything else has changed as far as my routine is concerned. Any insights out there on this?

I'm getting a check engine code (P013C; 02 Sensor Slow Response - Rich to Lean Bank 2 Sensor 2)

This is right after installing my test pipes and O2 spacers, one of which had threads that were kind of bunged up and couldn't get super tight because it would keep spinning. Tried to use gasket paste as the car was on a lift that needed to be used the next morning but I'm guessing it wasn't enough.

Before I go pulling apart the entire bottom side of the car to pull the test pipe and replace (what I'm assuming) is the bad O2 spacer throwing the code, can anyone confirm which side of the engine is bank 2?

Note: there's a chance I can reach in from the top of the engine and get the O2 spacer out, but I need to find someone strong enough with skinny arms to reach in lol

Alright, I've used the search function and I have the answer to this question for the Q7, B4, B6, A4, and a host of other vehicles, but I can't find this for ours.

    I bought these rims:
https://momo.com/en-us/momo-rf-serie...zio-black.html (pretty insane deal and I'll believe it if they really show up next week)

I need to get a Conical Bolt set. I get that our lug nuts are 14x1.5, but I have no idea what depth I need to be running. 28mm? 30mm? I'm probably going to buy one-offs from a website I found and then figure out which is the proper fit.

If you are NOT running a spacer, the OEM length is 27mm

you can find good grade OE style and Conical Style wheel bolts

    OE/Ball Seat

I am running +10mm spacers so I am using 35mm wheel bolts.....

    Alright, I surrender.

    Bought a 2016 A7 Prestige Tdi.

Expected it to have heated front/Ventilated front seats.

Which it does. HOWEVER, when my 9 year old son got in the passenger seat- he said "dad, Why is my seat vibrating?"

There is no Control for massage chair's either on the seat itself, or through the MMI. I searched HI and LOW for access to the massage function through VCDS, with no luck. (old school unlimited HEX-CAN cable)

Why, does my passenger seat ventilate/massage when the ventilation switch is triggered, but NOT my driver seat?

Who knows which module the adaptation ACTUALLY falls under? Did original owner have driver turned off? Did he somehow Add function to passenger.

Truthfully, I couldn't care less if the car has the feature or not. But if it is equipped and isn't functioning, my OCD will require me to fix it.

Sounds like you may have an unbalanced/broken fan on you passenger seat ventilation. The "comfort" seats I have don't vibrate when the massage function is activated.
