I don't used the keeper bolt, or what ever it is called. I just line it up before putting the wheels on. Btw I was able to save maybe 2 of those screws. The others I had to drill out. So I had no choice.
What ever makes sense go with the opposite and you got it

So I just got a tip downpipe (used) but I got it when I traded wheels. I know there is a difference in tip and manual DPs. My question is, will a tip DP fit a 6 speed? I know the tip tranny is bigger, but audi wouldn't change the whole direction of the exhaust due to the tranny right?

I don't believe they are interchangeable. The trans makes all the difference in exhausts for the B7

It would make sense on why the manual one wouldn't work on a tip, because the tip tranny is bigger, but a tip DP with a smaller tranny would seem like it would work.

You don't need it. Just have to line everything up and be aware that when you remove the wheel, your rotor can rotate.

Questions you thought were too dumb to ask

I have a 034 HFC and just put replaced the rear o2 sensor and keep getting the code lambda signal too low. Not a hard code. Can i pass emission with this code? Everything on readiness says passed except catalytic converter

I ve checked the wiring and the connections and surrounding connections and nothing seems out of the ordinary

Remove your spacer. You should be able to run a HFC with o2 sensors in normally and get 0 codes.

How do you remove the back seat?

I know the bottom part just pulls up, but how do you remove the back rest portion?

Fold the seat backs down. Remove plastic cover from center hinge. Remove T30 screw and steel cap. Lift seat from hinge and pull towards center of the car. Disconnect any connectors for heaters, etc. you will also need to unbolt the seatbelt for the passenger side. 17mm bolt IIRC.

Hahaha nice! When I went to get my first set of Recaros, I showed up with only the drivers seat installed in my car. I got wierd looks from the toll booth people. Glad Brandon was able to get your seats. He was looking at the $2200 set so I pointed him in your direction so he would have enough money left to buy my headlights lol.

Lol sounds like a win for all of us then! Do you think he got what he was asking for btw? I've never seen a set of Recaros go for that much... But, I was happy to see it because it would make my asking price look much nicer

If you're pulling the P0036 you won't pass. The minute they see a light or code passes you will a fail. Otherwise NJ is just emissions now which I'm sure you know, but they do do visual inspection so becareful if you are catless DP.

Just the 034 HFC. I have a vibrant spacer in my garage and im debating between which would help clear it run no spacer or i have a vibrant spacer in my garage that has three different size adjustments to limit flow to the sensor

Do you have the original sensor that you replaced the Bosch with? And this code was existent with that as well? I've gotten faulty O2 sensors for customer cars from Bosch before from advance we had to warranty out.

Personally no. They are a direct swap as far as I know but I believe that in order to deal with the airbag light you need to do a bladder swap. Adam probably knows more than me lol

It went bad and i threw it out. I had a hard code for it. I dont remember the number off my head but it was something about the heating element going bad. I replaced with a 16986 bosch sensor from europaparts.

Was it an oem replacement, as in connector matched up? Some cars are sensitive enough with resistance when having to wire the connector.

Installed coilovers and adjustable upper control arms last Sunday and booked time for alignment this coming Saturday.

The ride height needs to be slightly adjusted but I dont have time to do so before the alignment. Should I postpone the alignment till I get the ride height adjusted or?
