Buahahah, I'm betting he is talking about SRM intake? I haven't even opened the Forge box! Lagging like everyone else.

keep going like this and in a year you'll be able to build another car with your backlog of mods!
Slovenian tin exhaust, some worthless intake that isn't the SRM yet, cete valve controller because the akra one doesn't work properly on c7.5, apr stage 1 ecu/tcu, 5(five) bbs ci-r's because my car loves potholes, Eurocode sways/links, Eurocode alu-kreuz, and an undying love of hard parking

Installed SRM intake, sounds really cool in the top end to hear that high pitched spool sound. I should note that intake temps have signifigantly increased due to heat soak and honestly performance wise this intake seems pretty useless.

Has anyone tested that intake using a RS7 air box? I would assume that would have to be better than open filters.

SRM and Eurocode did a lot of testing on their intake and found it to be as efficient as possible.

Anyone have audio clips for the blow-off valve yet?

What is significant? Can you please provide actual data for those considering these mods?

finally someone delivers! lol thanks esquire1!

Sounds kind of like a light sneeze instead of the flutter I was hoping for, maybe the next video can be from outside the car?

If you're looking for a "flutter" sound, then you'll have to consider something custom. The forge valves produce a very clean, "snappy" sound. Unfortunately, it's difficult to capture this on an iPhone. I'll try to get few clips while the car is parked.

On a MAF system yes, metered air that disappears would spike rich fueling. The 4.0TT is a MAP design. That recording sounds exactly as a friend of mine describes Forge valves, like old school Blitz blow off valves no flutter.

Correct. And with regard to the sound -- I'm surprised there is someone on this forum that remembers Blitz! Haven't heard that name is a while.

I have just been eyeing it on my P3 gauge and temps seemed a bit higher the than normal. Once the weather stabilizes I will post full numbers. Just touching the filters after some driving can show the heat soak. They get VERY hot. Also, watch the Eventuri video about the heat shielding they put in and how much heat soak they experienced with a similar design.

I'm not trying to cast shade on SRMs product but I just don't think this intake is the "best" as everybody makes it out to be. Sounds fantastic though!

Interesting! May get these then, combined with SRM intake I think the spool sound + blowoff swoosh would be perfect!

I did see the video. I just can’t bring myself to spend $3k on a Carbon airbox that will turn yellow and brittle after 2 months. I think it would be more to my satisfaction to fabricate a simple heat shield to fit under the SRM intakes.

I agree, the intake performance difference is honestly negligible for me though. This car makes so much power on stage 2 that all the other supporting mods I have done have just improved sound and it's hard to tell if it's really faster.

Those would work on our valves but the way our valves are placed I don't think these are an option.

I wonder if simply using some Thermal-tech heat wrap on the intakes would help?
