For my 2014 S6, the owner's manual lists it as an option, not a standard feature. The sales catalog for that year did not indicate how that option might be ordered. An internet search implies that for the 2016 A6 it was part of the S-Line trim, which you have. The part number for the bumper cover for the headlight washer system is 4G0955276HGRU. The owner's manual gives instructions on how it operates.

I read my owners manual, and it stated that when low beams were on and windshield cleaning was activated that headlight cleaning should activate automatically. I just tried for about 10 minutes, and now it looks like a smurf was murdered in my driveway, and I can confirm that it did not work. Either it's broken or my car doesn't have it. I have the S line.
