Thank you 2k16A6. I am not sure which region that info is for but it doesn't match mine. If you look at this photo https://photos.app.goo.gl/TYuKgA7ue53kN5An8 you can see, all I have is what I previously posted...no reverse camera control module. So I have to assume it's located somewhere else.

    Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I don’t have any other suggestions as I’ve never been and deeper than pulling the small cover to access the emergency release for the fuel door actuator. I’m in MA so same region as you. You sure your car is 2016 not 2017? The manual on the last page I posted said that 2017+ the module is integrated into the camera itself and not independently replaceable.

The production date on the front door says 11/2015...at least I assumed that is the production date. I have seen very little info on the C7.5, most is C7 or earlier.

A thought came across my mind yesterday; does anyone here run filter socks on their air filters? I work in a pretty dusty environment at work and it’s fine dust. Having a CTS intake system, I don’t know how good the filters really are and I was wondering if the filter socks that modded euro has for these exact filters is worth getting?

people are all up in arms over the K&N Filters not providing 100% protection.....you could up the filter membrane with a sock to have some more protection if you wanted to.

I personally would 100% run a filter sock on any open-air filter, even if you didn't work in a dusty environment. OEM filters are slightly more restrictive and filter out smaller particles, with the assistance of the airbox to keep out as much dirt as possible, for a reason. I stuck with the upgraded OEM inlets and airbox for a reason and this was a big one for me (other being; keeping the OEM look)

I'll gladly miss out on a little cooler sound and maybe 10-15hp any day of the week for the protection benefits

Never ran one before so wasn’t sure what it affected aside from help keeping out particles. I’ll be looking at getting a set of them then.

I would think they do limit some airflow compared to just the K&N, closer to a stock filter, but other than maybe a few horsepower, I think there would be only positive benefits IMO

Is there any way to remove the rear side marker and replace with just a piece that's the same color as the body? My left marker went bad about a year ago, my mechanic switched it out for me while doing other work on the car and it seemed to be a nightmare..well more effort than there should need to be...it just went bad again and I really don't want to keep dealing with that. I assume removing it would probably throw codes but I assume I can disable that

Yes you can disable those with vcds/obd11. I know you can buy painted ones to match body color, i think TAG sells them, not sure who else.

What’s a good way for the C7 chassis to crank the engine over without firing, just removing the fuel pump relay/ and or fuse? I’d like to crank the engine over a few times in hopes of oiling the turbos better than I did before firing up. (Thought the oil would drain down from the top to bottom, but it just sat there instead of draining when I filled up the cavity.)

6 and 7 seats physically fit in either model. 2 seat rear config needs to code out or resistor the buckle if it had 3 to begin with. A caveat with putting the 6 3 seat in the back of a 7 is child seat upper harness point won’t be there since the 6 mount points are on the rear deck and the 7 mount points are on the seat backs.

Door cards for 6 and 7 are different in shape and mounting points. 6 rear door sunshade is supported by the window frame but the 7 is frameless.

Yeah not a direct swap, I don't think the glass is anywhere near the same shape either so the assembly from a 6 may not do you much good. On my RS6 door cards the rear doors didn't have shades so have flush deck, but still have the catch at the top of the window frame.

Built in radar w/ RS honeycomb grill. Anyone have a built in radar system and RS style grill? I have 2 sensors mounted on the original grill. They are unobstructed but with a honeycomb grill the sensors will have to be mounted behind the grill somehow. I would guess that the RS grill is going to block some of ability of the sensors. The cheap chrome plastic on my grill is bubbling and looks terrible.

Would plastic affect them at all I think is a good question to have answered. The RS grill would put relatively thin plastic bars in front of it, so I have to wonder would that even matter.

Thanks for the link and there's lots of info there and on the site itself. Just follow the links to the year/model range that works best.

I noticed this the other day when cleaning my wheels that my drivers front brake rotor has a small crack in it but it’s seems to of come from an inside impact pushing outward. TBH I’ve never seen that before and wondering if anyone else has come across it.

I'm getting a check engine code (P013C; 02 Sensor Slow Response - Rich to Lean Bank 2 Sensor 2)

This is right after installing my test pipes and O2 spacers, one of which had threads that were kind of bunged up and couldn't get super tight because it would keep spinning. Tried to use gasket paste as the car was on a lift that needed to be used the next morning but I'm guessing it wasn't enough.

Before I go pulling apart the entire bottom side of the car to pull the test pipe and replace (what I'm assuming) is the bad O2 spacer throwing the code, can anyone confirm which side of the engine is bank 2?

Note: there's a chance I can reach in from the top of the engine and get the O2 spacer out, but I need to find someone strong enough with skinny arms to reach in lol

Alright, I've used the search function and I have the answer to this question for the Q7, B4, B6, A4, and a host of other vehicles, but I can't find this for ours.

    I bought these rims:
https://momo.com/en-us/momo-rf-serie...zio-black.html (pretty insane deal and I'll believe it if they really show up next week)

I need to get a Conical Bolt set. I get that our lug nuts are 14x1.5, but I have no idea what depth I need to be running. 28mm? 30mm? I'm probably going to buy one-offs from a website I found and then figure out which is the proper fit.

Alright guys, be easy on me as I haven't switch my tunes in several years. Going from EPL stage 2 to stage 1, do I have to do rsa off first or just go straight to 1?

Is this flash one of the 30 second flashes or a 10 minute flash?

    Thanks guys!

From the looks of what you've done, your car is pretty damn fast, so why, is the question?

    And what is RSA?

I have emissions in my state so I was removing some mods. Now I'm thinking about removing most of my mods and going back to stock. Haven't decided yet.

    Here’s a really dumb question-

I just got my 2018 S7 Prestige delivered today. While sitting in it, with doors closed and engine off, I hear a faint humming noise…like a little motor or something…coming from the central dashboard area… very faint. Is this normal? Am wondering about that, and also if that will eventually drain the battery?

Told you this question was stupid…lol.

I don't know the exact answer, but the car has many systems that monitor the car even when the engine is off. Some will activate when opening the driver door to prepare the car for driving. The systems are relatively sensitive to variations in voltage, so if you plan to leave the car sitting for more than several days, the use of a battery tender is generally a good idea. I believe there is an AZ thread where folk recommend specific battery tenders.

That sound is most likely the car priming the fuel pump. It basically warms it up and gets it lubricated when you open the driver door because the Audi engineers figured you're probably about to start driving soon.

Is there any options in the VCDs to adjust the auto dimming mirrors? I put tints on my rear window and now none of my mirrors dim and I would kind of like to either change the sensitivity or just make them permanently dim
