Can anyone point me to the location where the third screw for the side mirrors on a RS7 C7.5 is placed within the door? I found two of them but I have no idea and cant see where the third screw is supposed to sit.
We already checked under the grey tape but theres nothing.

    Are all LED headlights AFS?

Or are Bi-xenon the only headlights that can be AFS?

I don't know about AFS... But on my 2018 it certainly has LED headlights and they auto level when I start up.

Did some searching in Audi USA and only xenon headlights are AFS, LEDs are not, LEDs are self-leveling though.

I dropped a screwdriver underneath the engine into the lower splash shield. Are there just a bunch of screws/bolts underneath the car to access it?

I recently bought a 2014 RS7 with Pirelli P Zero 275/30ZR21 tires. They are the non run-flat types and have a treadwear rating of 220. For the tread depth I"m at 6/32 on 3 of them and 8/32 on the other 1. I have a small knot/bulge in one of the 6/32 tires on the sidewall close to the wheel. Does a small knot indicate a lack of structural integrity such that I should replace it? Also, if I do need to replace it, do I need to replace all of them (which, of course, I'd rather not have to do:)? Thanks!

A bulge means you could have a sidewall blowout, not a good thing, an accident, etc. Make sure that tire is on the rear.

I would replace all of them.

The easiest way is to drive your car up on ramps, and yes there are several fasteners that attach the covers. Check with a flashlight while things are open and look for
    oil, coolant leaks while underneath.

Is it possible to run an S6 on jackstands, without it going nuts? I have what I hope is just tire noise, but I would like to lift it and run it to 40 or so MPH. Thanks

How can I check the valves on the Audi Sport exhaust 2016 S7? I think one or both are acting up since they never close, even when in comfort mode.

Passenger side you can see, since it is post muffler. Drivers side is pre muffler. If closed you shouldn't feel any airflow. And if closed at the wrong times, your car is gonna drive rough.

You'll also need VCP and the appropriate all road fw to flash. Doable? Sure. Worth it? That will depend on how much money you're willing to spend on a little indicator on the Mmi screen.

So I was playing around with the setting on my wifes BMW Z4 and realized it had the option to auto lock when you walk away with the fob and auto unlock when you get close.

How the hell do we not have this function in a our cars? Am I missing something? Because I've looked all over in my settings and found nothing.

Just got a 2018 S6, and it came with “ok” Yokohama all-season tires. When turning full lock right or left I get a little tire noise. They are OEM spec size and not rubbing, it’s more like tread noise. Just wondering if this has to do with these tires specifically or is this something everyone gets as a result of a hard turn with the AWD system or something.

It’s normal. Due to the Quattro system

I’m in a similar situation but haven’t seen any issues regarding warranty. I’m only aware of ECS or 034 as easy bolt on options.

I’m still on the fence if I want to go this route or a full exhaust. I do think the option for quiet in comfort mode is nice.

ECS x pipe is $300 plus install. videos sound like a modest upgrade , just enough added rumble and pop..

Very difficult to mod the exhaust on this platform and get anything more than a ton of rasp and/or drone.

I'm in the camp of enjoying the quiet. 🙂

Anyone know how to install new door handles? Specifically the smaller rear cap? My passenger side door cap flew off while driving. I ordered a new one and watched a ton of youtube videos and spent over 4 hours today and cant get it on. It keeps popping back out. All guides says to move the chamber a little back and it slides right in. But when i push it in , i feel resistance and it just pops back out. I feel it’s something so simple i just cant figure it out. Ill give u e hugs if u can help me :(

I've done this recently, check YouTube videos for some tips. You need a pick with a 90 angle on the end to lift the mechanism to accept the cover. Angle is a little weird in there and once you do it a few times you get the gist of it.

All the videos i watched talked bout lifting the mechanism to accept the bigger portion of the door handle. R u saying i need to do the same for the smaller end part ? Im specifically having issues with this part

I got the left part on no problem. Its this part that wont go in ^

Once the handle is in place (feels like a guess) you can push the cover into place and screw tighten the torx. The Torx has a mechanism to do the push mentioned in the videos.

I bought a used assembly to see what it is like back there. When you loosed the torx, the latch for the cover releases.

When you tighten it down the latch keep the cover from popping off.

I guess i need to keep trying. It seems like i have it in the correct position. When i push the cover in, it just pops back out, like a spring load. Would u b able to show me what position the chamber is supposed to b when i insert the cover?

Uploaded the video to youtube so u can see it bounce back out

From your video, once you push the cover into position, hold it with your thumb and screw the torx down

    The pieces.

The slide lock going back into place

Screw mark from the flat side of the torx, it essentilly presses against the cover and slides the lever into a locked position so it won't fall out.

In the ready to reinstall state it looks like this.

Locked down you see the slide lock become more visible.

The slide lock going back into place

Screw mark from the flat side of the torx, it essentilly presses against the cover and slides the lever into a locked position so it won't fall out.

In the ready to reinstall state it looks like this.

Thanks for this. I will have to try it again tomorrow. All videos showed to push it straight in so that may b my issue. Will keep updated. Really appreciate the pictures/ instructions

I just wanna add that, from the video, after i push it down, i cant screw it into place. If u saw the second video, once o push it in, the screw goes in as well, and i cant see it anymore through the hole on the side. Second video shows this

As with other things German, it’s psycho genius and pretty much only goes one way which lets you know you did it right. First time trying to get it back together I ended up taking off one of the door shell covers from the inside to see where I wasn’t understanding it. Got it on but dreaded doing it again so found a used part to see it outside the door.

So i cant get it to the position u shown cause the other part of the handle is in the way…

And if i take off that handle first it wont go back in :(

It can only go directly straight but then im back at the same issue i was having before where it just pops back out

The only way it goes in is when i slide the chamber all the way to the left, which locks the door handle. From there, the door handle cant open. I also tried to start turning the screw hoping it would move it into place, but eventually it just pops it back out

Something seems so simple yet so complicated
