    Painted My Brake Calipers

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I painted my front calipers black and added small vinyl Audi stickers. Three coats of high temp spray paint and two coats of clear over the stickers

First I masked off the whole car to avoid any possible overspray that hangs in the air

Masked off the brake rotors and wheel-wells and cleaned the brakes throughly

The clear was going on cloudy so I used a heat-gun on low to even it out. Worked really well

Overall, I am really happy with how it turned out. I went with black because I wanted it to be subtle.

I am going to do the rears soon as well

Looks great! Really how it should have come from the factory.

Good job! Nice improvement over the raw aluminum.

I did mine black as well. The "look at my brakes" colors look great on the RS7, S7, S6. The A7, A6 is more of a "Gentleman's" car. Subtle is more appropriate.

Ha ha. I started with just the nose covered and I could just see the cloud of paint mist hanging in the air. I had the extra sheeting so I figured it was worth the extra minute to cover the rest of the car!

Got the stickers on amazon (search "Audi brake calipers decals"). Make sure to put some clear over the top of the stickers so they stay looking good
