Anyone put any good plug and play error free bulbs in their front turn signals?

Curious as to what product was used if so.

Its never going to work with turn signals. Even if you don't get errors the current draw (or lack thereof) will make they flash SUPER quick because the flash cadence is based on the current draw.

You'd have to wire some resistors inline regardless of the "CAN-BUS Error Free" status (which is bullshit 99% of the time anyway...)

Edit: You can buy pre-assembled load resistors on ebay for generally quite cheap though. I'm not sure what the specs of the resistor are that you would need, but you could probably get 4 resistors (for front and rear) for under $10 shipped.

I tried this and the resistors got so hot I could light anything I wanted to on fire. They were glowing in the dark.

I have some load resistors as well and bench testing had temps so high I was scared to install them.

Yeah, and only 1 blinker worked right.

    Hi LP,

I am running these > click here that I picked up on eBay. You will need to order an extra set of resistors (4 total). I am running s4 bixenon housings, so am not sure what the bulb or housing is like for other b6 headlights. Also, the turn signal housing needed a little dremeling for the bulb to fit. Resistors need to be run from pins 7 to 8 and 8 to 9 in the plug for the switchback to work and no error codes.

check out this post > click here Jump down to #12 for further info on correct wiring.

Agreed the resistors do get super hot...I would take your time to find a good install position (metal) under the hood and lengthen the resistor wires to extend to the headlight plug. Check out this post > click here, with regards to setting up the resistors in a way that their heat is not an issue.

In any case, the switchback looks awesome and I have been running these inexpensive bulbs for over 6 months with no problems, nor any error codes.
