    air spring to coil conversion

Ive got a 2006 avant with the adaptive suspension. its worked great for the last 3 years and is still fine with minimal lowering when sitting for a while. Im looking to the future though with coil springs. Im hoping the perches on the standard coil cars are bolt-on? just find a set of these and use normal avant spring options? and then hopefully its a vcds soft code to get the car to think it doesnt have air anymore... Thanks for any help!

Can't really answer your question, but want to follow along to see the replies. I've thought about calling some of the airlift companies to see if their products would work as a factory replacement to the air springs.

You should pm @rollininstyle04, hope he pops into the forum or look for his post in the tire/suspension thread.

Idk if he had airride from the factory. But I remember him having a nice air setup, he might help. I fell like he (maybe someone else) had a post about selling the air, which contained all the parts needed/supplied, but I couldnt find it.

This could be an option to stay "stock":https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-C6_A6...ule/ES2730827/

If you have factory air suspension, you can lower the car for free with vag-com. That's what I did. Better than spending $1500 for a module.

went to a buddy's shop to look at a conventional coil a6 and he confirmed its pretty much a straight swap to coils. he wasnt sure about programming. the programming side could very well be the easiest or hardest thing to do... I think ive decided to go with replacing the front air struts anyways. Found a good deal on some rebuilds. The rears rarely leak and the compressor is probably fine since my leak isnt that bad yet.

I wish I had factory airride for this reason. I would love to have been able to set up my preferences so that Dynamic was lowww, but retain comfort at ~stock height so I couldn't have to fight with slopes/inclines/etc.

I decided a while ago I'm putting air in my next car. I just couldn't justify dropping 3-4K just for suspension on this car.

Does anybody have updates on this? My adaptive suspension gave out and I ordered STS X coilovers. Unfortunately they do not fit and had to be returned. I don't want to get air, and I can't find other options.
