    Hello,
After 7 year and only 71.000km i'm about to say 'bye bye' to my A4 B8 avant 2.0tdi monza.
Some might knew her, some might appreciated the sometimes 'out of the box' mods (back in the days)...from me she was a one of a kind especially around here where avants run by with the thousands.
She might of lacked the power and grip (tuned 2.0tdi multitronic/non quattro) i loved every single kilometer :).
*sold to coworker, so will still see her from time to time...i bet he tread her good.

As i'm near the birthplace of the 4 rings, dieselgate putting a ban, avant lover and have to deal with several RS6's passing me occasually...i went for the closest i could justify and found me next dreamcar: S6 C7 avant :).

    *Warning: dirty car :(

More full detailed info will follow later but in short the most important features:
    S6 C7 avant (11/2013) +-60.000km
    estoril blue
    JD engineering stage 2 software (575hp - 800nm) - tuned only since december 2015
    ceramic brakes (front/back)
    sportdiff/sport exhaust (valved)
    adaptive suspension
most safety features, except night vision and hud
    softclose doors
    etc....
    aftermarket track&trace, stinger vip

I know most will say 'and? common for us' but modest simple guy here, so for me one of those 'yes, you can' dreams coming true.
As said, avant lover and the RS6 is not that uncommon around here (guy 2 streets behind me owns one grrrr), somehow the 'detuned' S6 C7 avant isn't that common let alone in an other color then black or grey.

The car will be again my daily driver (95% home-work) and low milage car. In a way not justifiable to get a 4.0biturbo these days but guess the midlife crisis kicked in :p.
Due to financial and fiscal reasons, the car will be rebuild as 'light truck' meaning the rear seats will need to go. A trade-in but not in a negative way for me. It only will take some extra time and money for the car to be rebuild, re-imported and checked.
Hoping to drive the car in a big month from now if all goes good :).

Loving the car and i know i should stop here, but i'm affraid it won't stay stock for long
I know the car has finally the muscles i always wanted and stage 2 (ECU + TCU done by JD engineering) got most of the potential out of it.

    Potential mods:
*exhaust: currently stock exhaust and beggs to be replaced. Love to go LOUD, time but most specificly 'road legal' issues will tell me what road i will take. Sadely my country is a shitplace when it comes to restrictions, will need to yearly get checked, but considering going non-res (and yearly rebolt to stock, i own a car bridge).
*currently stock 5 spoke 20" wheels: rs6 titans are oem look option i love, just don't know if i want to go 21" (bad roads and broke 3 wheels over 7 years on my lowered A4 B8!!).
*stock 'boring' S6 bumpers: as most, loving the agressive RS6 style package. I'm aware what it takes and money it costs to do it correct (was one of the first that custom build RS5 grill and rear valence). As much as i love OEM, i might cheat and go for the aftermarket replica RS6 front bumper and valence.
*the car comes with the chrome package: altought it adds class to the car and looks great on the estoril, i'll probebly go 'shadow' (probebly go plastidip trim/roofrails as test).
*estoril delicate clearcoat: altough the car was previously always handwashed i do notice already and read the clearcoat is very fragile to scratches. Full xpel stealth wrap is imho not possible (not price/lifetime/maintenance justifiable). I'll experiment, but might mat clear the body with plastidip
*it was an impulse buy and didn't do my research enough, but scored a R8 'gt' 2016 steeringwheel. By now i realize there isn't a fuctional working airbag for this steeringwheel versus C7 platform. Most if not all buttons might not work, but still i'm considering installing it in the car even i know i'm loosing a big safety feature (airbag). 95% of the use is home-work trips of less then 15 minutes driving with speed restricted road. Need to check with my guardian angel ;).
*Cete Automotive lowering module: car has adaptive suspension, but might want to adjust it lower :).

    ...more to follow.
    *added some dirty pictures

    Little update...
Since last week i'm official owner of the car :). Sadely i already had to drop it of at the compagny who is going to remove the back seat and install flat floor and later on the week get it reinspected and new papers. Normally this should all be done around 23/05 but could still take an other 2 weeks untill i get the official papers to sign in the car. Guess good things comes to those who wait....

    Meanwhile, the mod bug bites:
*ordered Milltek SSXAU448 (non resonate, valved, black tipes). Due to holidays it isn't on the way yet, but no hurry on it untill i get the car. Can't complain about the price deal i got :).
*looking around for upgrading to the facelift dynamic taillights. Call me cheap but i kinda found a slightly used (less then 10.000km) set but i got confused. After checking the partsguide i found the facelift tails come under two versions, an E version and a F version (both 4G994509'X'). If not mistaken the E version should be compatible with my 11/2013 car and it's centrale comfort module (right? :s). Sended out a few mails as confirmation, hope i get conformation on this so i can order them. For the adapters and coding, i probebly go with the BKS modules or single dongle methode.

Posted earlier in other topic, but some time ago i bought on an impulse an R8 2016 steeringwheel

Sadely i noticed too late airbags aren't compatible.
I know i put my life at risk, but atm my guarding angle tells me to go through with it and might install it in the car.
Since the single airbag won't work on our dual stage controle and i don't want to play with it, i might end up unplugging it and add a resistor delete on the wires.
Atm it is also unknown if even any button/paddles will work on the car, time will tell.
On a side note, there might be an solution for the exhaust valve button. Apperently Milltek is working on a valve sonic plus module.
Basicly it will be a play and play module plugged into the canbus of the car giving the user to adjust the exhaust valves under any condition (preprogrammed) but it also apperently allows the driver to attach any random button (combination?) on the steeringwheel to open or close the exhaust valves (that is if the exhaust button on the wheel triggers something over the canbus offcourse).

Might also order the EuroCode Billet Aluminum Transmisson / Differential Mount Bundle.

Made an oppointment on 25 june for a paint detailing (washing, polish, claying, metal contamination and a glascoat treadment with Cquartz).

Somewhere along the way, planning to reinstall my Blackvue DR650 but eventough i have the powerbox i like to add some sort of additional battery with relay for longtime park recording.

    Little update:
Finally was able to go pick up the car after it got converted to LV (light van).
Bye bye backseats. Still will take a good 2 weeks i'm affraid untill i can finally officially sign in the car at the DIV (waiting for papers grrr).
At least i was able to pick her up with garage plates and drove for a good 2 houres. Loving the power, sound will be adressed soon :).

Meanwhile started to closely inspect and clean the car

Does converting to an LV move the car into a different (lower) taxation class?

What mods do you need to do to change to LV - l can see you have removed the rear seats, what else?

I think when you are finished, you may have the worlds fastest Audi van.....

Keep in mind i'm from Belgium, ever country might have its own rules :)
Officially Audi already sells the A6 platform as LV from factory.
Here i just had to remove the backseat, remove and destroy the rear seat belts and fill up the place where seats where so you have a one continious flat floor with and the end a 20cm border. Also the cargo space needs to be at least 50% of the wheel base. Like said, Audi A6 falls under those conditions.
Sadely, since it was a second hand, i had to 'virtually' export the car back to Germany and sign in again as LV and get it resigned/rechecked as LV.
    My german papers now mention:
    Licht Van CT
The MTM is 2580kg (i suppose because of the engine that high? not sure).
I just did a quick calculation and yearly road tax would be: 125€ (compaired to +-400€ for my 2.0tdi and +-700€ for the newer diesels because of the dieselgate issue).
Normally i think it was around 1500€ yearly for normal S6 C7 avant
Also the BIV (1 time tax if you sign in the vehicle) dissapears for LV in Belgium. I suppose that is near 3/4.000€ because of the big block engine.

Additionally, normally i can add the LV use (purchase, taxes, insurence, maintenaince, 'mod' parts :p etc) in my tax (not selfemployed here).
So all in all the LV versus normal car is a too big gain to let go (so far as Belgium goverment is starting to add milage tax on big LV transport vehicle and is looking into doing the same for small LV and even normal cars). Luckly i don't do much miles a year....

@Demandred: i'll be the judge over that :p. Call me stupid, but car had full ceramic pack already, not doing much miles so normally i will never have to replace them.
Maybe a heads up to all brake dust haters...get ceramics, just cleaned the car. Almost NO brake dust on the wheels ;).

For now not so many plans, hoping i get my official Belgium car papers soon so i can register it and finally drive it :).
Apperently need to do an additional checkup at the DIV (duh...the car just got inspected!! jesus, goverment = taxes and money grabbers).
After that, the milltek will be put on :).

Bit late update, but the car has pasted inspections and is officially a VAN now :).
Been driving it for a good 2 weeks now and loving it big time!
The milltek non-res has been installed too, loving that one aswell (this is how the car should of come out of the factory).
Car has been polished, detailed and received a coat of C-Quartz glass protection coat and reload coat.
Some quick pictures after the detailing....

For some reason the oem flaps actuators not working (no errors), will need to look into that. For the moment they are both set open.
Little soundmovie of the milltek (at that time one 1 valve was open)
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...1466970242.mp4
If anybody has an idea how i can log into the valve modules/actuators?

*ordered the 034 trans and diff mounts.
*soon testing out the r8 2016 steeringwheel (after my resistor emulator tool arrives for messuring the airbag module).
*might make a custom trunk strut, something like this:

    Wow, thats quite a conversion!
I had no idea Audi releast the A6 in LV mode, we dont have it in UK - l guess to try and maintain the luxury brand awareness.

Congrats on the work so far

As a test i decided to take a closer look at the S6 steeringwheel wiring, R8 wheel fitment.
Sadely i had to discover the R8 wheel didn't had original harnass, as i only now discovered there was a secondairy 6 pin connector (5 connected pins). I don't have a pin layout of the wheel (searching around) but since the yellow connector didn't fit too i couldn't test more.
I might get myself a second S6 harnass and adjust it, but will need more info on the wires and additional 6 pin connector (not sure if that one is split to feet the 'normal' 3 pin MF buttons). I suppose one pin is horn and the other is ground?
Fact is i might need to work from a stock S6 harnass for the airbag wires resistance.
Like said, and yes Alex i do believe you are correct there is only a very small change something will work in the end...but taking one for the team :p.
If not mistaken the secondary connector on the slipring is for the heated setting (thicker wires)?
As for slipring, R8 fits it perfectly.
Same for base size, covers the steeringcolum just fine (as S6 is a good inch wider).
I bought an airbag resistance meter and a few 2.2Ohm resistors in case, but without harnass i'm not going to test yet.
Anyway, just some pictures..maybe more later on this :).

*S6 steeringwheel with heating wires on the left under center?

*Help needed: partnumber stock S6 c7 harnass?
    pinlayout/pictures harnass R8 GT harnass?

Felt the car lacked boost lately, so scanned the car with my ODBeleven and turned out one of the turbo boots sensors was mallfunctioning...BUT it didn't threw a DIS error (odd :s). After checking with the dealer, the failed sensors was confirmed. Sadely non on stock...but should be here in 2 days. Car drove in 'semi' limp mode (light boost - still high revs possible). But found it very odd it didn't threw a DIS error :s. Guess i'm going to look for a (constant) ODB reader for fault checking and readouts. Might go for torque pro?

Finally replacement turboboost sensor got delivered (30€). Testdrive done, no errors and shitloads of horses and torque again. Damn loving this car :).
Many RS6's around here and those almost always make heads turn...S6 is imho the real sleeper, tuned and it is an animal :).

Didn't continued on the R8 wheel yet, somehow forgot i could actually test the wheel with the stock S6 harnass but waiting bit on pin layout.

No update on the steeringwheel yet, and an other guy (a6->rs6 sedan convertion) tried it too but kinda saw it was almost impossible.
On the other hand, this youtube movie was linked from fb. Not the R8 GT wheel but if not mistaken the TT GT steeringwheel.
Bit sceptic if it is indeed working (never know they video trick it and simply push the normal other start engine button on console) but apperently they got it working.
Tried to contact the guy, but no info yet...

Went to audiparts in the Netherlands today for adjusting my JD engineering tune (stage 2 + gearbox tune).
My car is a 2013 model, so no antilag or decent rumble by default. Even with the milltek non res it was civil, well sort of.
After some fine tuning, they finally nailed it imho...maybe bit extreme.
Anyway, in neutral high revs it is pretty beast (sharp antilag bangs).
Normal driving very civil, in S or manual the rumble kicks in.
If i go play in the revs and let go gas, the antilag bangs kick in.
    Loving it ;).

I'll try to record a driving/playing moving in the near future.
Still stock downpipe, almost can't imagine with modified downpipe :).

*mine with s7 behind it (they just installed rs7 exhaust)

    Small update :)
Replica RS6 grill. Sadely the grill didn't came with camera cover so had to do some custom work (OEM RS6 camera 'adaptor'). Almost there to testfit it on the car :).
Not sure yet what type of rings, matte black (as on the back), chrome or matte chrome to match the fog covers and quattro colour.....

Nice job getting the OEM camera mount working. The RS6 OEM camera mount is very different from the S6 camera mount, RS6 mount being a more compact housing.

I posted some partnumbers and pictures in the bumper remove topic :)

Not i have S6 C7 with 360° view, prefacelift....Normally your stock camera bracket/camera should fit (with small grind corners of bracket). I ordered a second hand bracket as test (as i didn't wanted to remove bumper and stuff yet). Will soon tes fit the grill and camera, but at least this setup fits on grill :).
Let me know if you need more info.
Oh, not sure, but i had replica grill, no camera cover by deault, but it did had the 3 bolts pins.
    Good luck

Nothing special i guess, but really liking the dark/updated look and offcourse the full dynamic sweep :).
I won't go too much in detail as not many avant owner on audizine, but in short....
There is indeed a small gap between outer taillights and bumper (bumper facelift is apperently sticking out more outwards throughward the trunk lid...1.5cm?). But have to look under the light to spot it, so no issues :). Ended up buying my tails in Gemany and Belgium (+/750€).

As for the steeringwheel, keep in mind it is still in development and outsourced. Been a year since several tried, it has been done before (but was hard to get in contact etc) so had to find different contacts. But looks we finally got the right guys tackling this :).
It is beeing developed for several platforms/several buildyears etc. Still many plans and all depends bit what customer wants and what is actually possible (be it chip programmed or hardwired), but it is looking promising.
    Warning: in development video's....
*basic buttons working including all light up
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/23zmsvfzot...66076.mp4?dl=0
*flippers working (might sound nothing special but flippers have different wiring type version on our platform)
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/o2yf362q04...95765.mp4?dl=0
More in the (near) future ;)

PS: sorry for url linking the stuff. Dropbox changed policy and public linking isn't an option anymore :( same for pictures. Ohwell, for those interested only i guess ;).

Some upgrade mod today. So the car came with ceramics front and back, but since it is prefacelift it comes with the boring looking rear break calipers. Facelifts these days come with a coverplate with audi ceramics on them. A wooping 50-70€ per piece...decided to make my own cover plates.
Sheetmetal - gunmetal paint - audi ceramics decall

Slighty darker then stock color of the fronts but close enough for my tast :)

Little update, finally customs released my downpipes.
So i went for the R2racing catless 3" downpipes, thermo ZO coated with a golden/coper protection coat on it.
Build quality look very good and seller was a dream to purchase from ;).
Pictures will follow, normally i'll be swapping the cats tomorrow.

Silly and i think 10€ cheap visual upgrade part from wish.com :)
    Audi door lock covers

They also had rubber covers for the doorlinks (not sure how it is called) but still on their way....

    Catless pipes installed...
Dismantling the stock cats was pretty straightforward, just bit a pain in the a$$ as always due to not much room to work in, but in the end we got them out.
The new pipes went in pretty easy and fitted perfectly (just driversides springbolt was slightly misaligned but got it fixed).
As for sound, in combo with the milltek non res, everything under 2.500-3.000rpm sounds civil and beafy, once past 3.000 and underload..it is screamy loud (maybe a bit too much and might consider going for a resonate center silencer).

Soon going to tune it to proper stage 2 with cooler (JD engineering).

Maybe ricey, but got some areo's from wish.com (rubber with carbon look). Initially just as a test how it would look, for the price (10€?) it was worth it.
Kinda liking it, subtile but new look :). Time will tell if i keep them....

Just found this thread - loving the build! I keenly followed your B8 S4 build, and also installed an OEM RS5 rear diffuser following a discussion with you about the details. Thanks for the help!

I'm now also considering a C7 S6 myself. Yours sounds awesome, but sadly we can't see it as the videos and photo links return 403 (forbidden). Could you review the permissions on your DropBox so we can all see your updates in their full glory? :D

Finally headed over to JD engineering....
Long nightdrive, but the S6 is so comfy it is a joy to cuise around :).

Had an appointment to get one of their custom build turbo cooler to be installed.
No info who is the builder of it but for what it is worth, it is a 3 way design and already been implanted on a few cars tuned by them including their own custom rebuild S6 (750hp).
No data on it aswell, i take their word for it, but will try to do some loging of the IAT. Fact is it hold great on several dyno runs :).

After the install and a road test run and a cooler bleed, they started some dyno runs.
Car was already stage 1 with some extra pops and bangs.
After several pulls and some fine tuning (aiming for a smooth curve) and some more cooler bleeding, we ended on 587ehp/527whp and 877Nm (on 98ron pumpgas).
Very pleased with the result, car had more in it but we decided to smooth it out and aim for relibility.
I'm sure the catless thermal pipes, milltek non-res and cooler will contribute in better flow and less trapped heat :).

    Dynopull movie incase:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/i0c6m7evw8...74830.mp4?dl=0

*Eventough i was outside the dynoroom behind glass, she was screaming big time!

Decided to buy back my replica RS6 c7 'wsp pompei w560' 20" 9J ET35 in gunmetal back who i sold with my previous audi (buyer still had them).
Bought a new set of goodyear eagle f1 asymetric 3 255/35R20.
Done a quick testfit with an old rime i still had and should fit perfectly :).
    Tirechange this week, looking forward.
Maybe oldschool rime but always liked them :).

Not sure if picture attachment worked...
Anyway, since i couldn't find a decent and my taste of diffuser, trying out a few things on custom one.
Diffuser wings will be mounted on stock one, repainted in stock color (maybe matt carbon) but keeping the matt chrome strip.
