Whats up guys? Unfortunately i got into another accident ( wasn't my fault this time) but looking at another 4 g worth of damage .. Drivers side headlight is broken ... Looking into leasing a bmw 435i .

$4k seems low considering the wheel is messed up. If the tire needs to be replaced, you're going to have to replace all 4 depending on your current tread wear.

Just wondering, whats the process for getting a different part than oem covered by insurance? Like if I wanted the competition+ bumper do I just give the body shop a link to the part and they submit a final invoice for the parts to insurance?

How are you calculating ~300 for a 435i. I don't even think you can get a 428i for that price.

I'm pretty familar with lease numbers and with the potential negative equity on your car (assuming its a lease), I'm not sure if you're being realistic.

I said i would like to get my payments in the 3s , its 529 a month lease with 4,500 due at signing .. But what would it be if i put 10,000 down instead of 4,500?

generally you don't want to put money down on a lease because it's money you won't be getting back if the car gets totaled. the better way to lower your monthly payments is to make multiple security deposits (which will lower your money factor), and you will get that money back at the end of the lease (minus anything they might charge you in terms of excess wear and tear).

assuming your a5 is leased, you're looking at negative equity worth several $k's on top of all that extra money down, just to lease a 435? doesn't make sense to me.

Are you kidding...? You should NEVER be putting down more that 2000-2500 on a lease. If you have to put more you CANT afford the car. Where is the logic in you putting 10k down on a car you won't even own.

I upgraded to S-Line front and rear bumper on my A4 though this method. I provided the shop with the different part numbers and they ran two estimates. I paid the difference on the upgrades (which was minimal in both cases).

Thanks, I knew it could be done and was legit, just wasn't sure how to go about it. Hopefully it won't come down to having to get into an accident to upgrade to s-line bumpers but it's good to know
