I sat and waited for SRM to send my port injection that goes with the SRM A2A intercooler. I also waited to hear back from the Villain with regard to my CERBERUS hood wrap. Just in case you didn't know, I've had a full Miltek exhaust, Cold air intake.(ditched the SRM intakes, they suck hot air from under the hood) TTE turbos, after marked diverters Alpha intercooler, RS6 grille, Tial Wastegates, DS1 tune. mac sensor, 4 bar sensor, upgraded HPFP, upgraded dual LPFP btres display. So would anyone like to sit and commiserate about WAITING PART? LOLOLOL

Off topic but where do you take your car for any work you don’t do yourself? Your info section on the left says you’re in Fayetteville. I live in Vass which is about 30 minutes west just on the opposite side of Bragg

Unfortunately no backlighting, I had noticed the same with the newer gens like 4M Q7s had the backlit stalks. I don't use the CC/ACC all that often and it's something that would be a bit easier for occasional users if you could see that in the dark cabin.

Replaced the stock engine and trans skid plates with aluminum plates from four rings auto. The OEM skid plates were soaked in fuel from a broken injector return line fitting.

    I was stupid.

Waited till I was the only car on the road and tested the new fuel lines for less than 1/2 mile... I kid you not!

Just glad he didn't catch me a few seconds earlier!!

A very expensive test drive. Next purchase... a radar detector!

Sorry to hear that, but thankfully they didn’t catch you at full speed.

I just got an escort max360c mk2 as an open box purchase on Amazon. I’m told the 360c is the same as the 360 with the exception of WiFi which doesn’t really do me any good in a car without WiFi but the open box price was still much cheaper than the standard 360. I plan to hard wire it by tapping in to the power in the rear view mirror. I’ll try to get some pictures if I don’t get too frustrated during the install.

I’ve got the Valentine One V2(V1 was great until the false alarms were too frequent(new gmc’s, Cadillacs, etc.)) it has paid for itself 20+ times for sure. Picks em up bout a half to quarter mile away.

    Good luck

I picked up and Escort MAX 360c MKII already. Not playing Roulette any more!

Yeah... that's why I resisted them for so long. Hate false alarms and the newest ones with GPS and better sensitivity will hopefully stop that anxiety!

Picked up the 360c MkII as well. $409 refurb. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'll hardwire it in all the cars and just swap it between them all!

What did you do with your c7 today?

Swapped out my original battery (dated 2013 from MY14) for a new one. Actually increased the size because the guy at my local Battery World said he thought 75ah seemed small. Said the 92ah was same prize and the A7 fits up to a 15in battery. So here we are. Battery adaptation done via odb11. Battery was only $118 and had to pay for a year of OBD11 Pro (need it for my girl’s bmw too). Old one wasn’t dead, but I’ve had low battery warnings here and there for a while now (including while flashing the jackal tunes, had my fingers crossed it didn’t die mid flash lmao).

UPDATE I think I fixed my extremely low mpg issue by replacing the battery. Alternator was working OT 14.5v was read via OBD11 on old battery now it’s at like 13.3v while running. City mpgs have drastically increased.

I got the escort 360C MKII radar detector installed finally after Amazon first sent me the wrong model.
All of the online guides I found showed the yellow wires being used for tapping into the rearview mirror power. This is correct, however those are not ignition hot wires. They are always hot. Unless my car is just an anomaly, the wire shown in this picture is an ignition hot switch in case anyone else is having an issue.

Got a pic of how low it is and what it covers of view from the drivers seat? I have it parked up beside the mirror (pass side) because with the screen and the mirror, it felt very "wallish" in the center dash! It still has a good view out the back, but I have no way to tell how that position is limiting the reception and that is the whole point to these things, right?

I'm still in the OEM suction cup mount and wondering if I can live with the obstructions (big reason I didn't go for the big screen upgrades!).

    Thanks!

Here are some photos. I purchased the Blend Mount from Amazon which got rid of that "wall" feeling you referred to. The cheaper mounts just hang down too much. Having the radar up higher is probably better for actually picking up signal.

Dont mind the mess in the garage. I just painted it yesterday.

LOL... I have been building a Lotus 7 in my garage for more than a decade... that and the Cerakote/Powdercoat and general hoarding tendencies I have.. I toss no stones in that pond!!!

Got a link to the mount? I like their magnetic mounting. Easy to remove/reinstall when not honestly needed.

And about your power question... you know it has an auto off function, right? No motion for x time it turns off. Press a button and it restarts. Just incase you can't find a IGN based power tap!

Thanks for the pics and info!!

Well I didn’t know that. I learn something new every day. I checked on the radar maybe 5-10 minutes after locking the car when it was connected to the yellow always hot wire and it was still on.

    https://a.co/d/9khpSOM

That’s the mount I used. Maybe there is a better one out there for our cars. I had to take a little piece of rubber to make it right right around the “neck” of the mirror in the Audi.

From the manual... Probably need to check the setting as it might be turned to "always on".

    Thanks for the link!

    Cheers,

    AutoPower
This feature automatically turns off MAX 360c MKII after a set period of time to save unnecessary drain
on your battery. This is especially useful if your vehicle has a constant-power ignition. To turn MAX 360c
MKII on again you must press the power button.
Note: If AutoPower is on, to save screen life the display screen goes blank after 30 minutes without
moving. The display screen will turn on automatically after you reach 10MPH

I’ll have to avoid mentioning that to my wife. I’m notorious for not reading any of the directions.

The 356 dust shields in the front rub fierce on the 400mm rotors

The rears are near identical and don't have to be swapped over, but it's nice to have the matching kit

Your rear bias won't be fucked up and you'll be fine to keep what you have

The most the rears get is when ACC is active as that's what the car uses to slow itself... So you'll see it burn more pad use if you're always using ACC

Good thing my TDI came with 345mm fronts. As it turns out, the rear Macan Turbo caliper that I’m using has slightly larger brake pads. Probably not enough to make a huge difference but it was unexpected

I just put my Uniden in the front console hole in front of the shifter and plug it into the cigarette lighter all the time. Seems to work fine goes off in plenty of time to slow down!

Took the RS7 back to audi to check engine light that came on, cylinder 5 misfire again... since ecu was already reprogrammed looks like next step is to shim the exhaust valves per audi, good thing there is special coverage for this
