to do upper control arms do the strut need to come of on the A6? or just remove the bolt that goes by the bushing and has space with the spring on the way?

Yes, you need to remove the struts. You won't be able to get those bolts out or back in properly otherwise. I was able to do a final tightening with a box wrench afterwards with the strut in though, but no room for a socket.

Sorry for the delay, I totally missed this one. I’ll check with my installer on where he tapped into it, I’m not positive. I had him do the wiring work, he also wired a knob to the right underside of the driver dash so I can drive my wife around lol. I just did the cutout and fitting of the sub box. It’s a 10” JL sub. The rest of the speakers are definitely still part of the Bose amp and they still aren’t great. Honestly, after having it for few months I don’t totally love the sound quality and the box is sort of rattling itself apart. I’m going to pull the sub out and maybe fill it with epoxy to seal it up again. I will say that adding the sub did make the terribleness of the Bose a bit less apparent but I would probably do it much differently if I were to do it again. I barely turn it on because of the rattle.

I replaced my B5 S4 head unit, all the door speakers and added a backup camera(this part sucked) as well as a 12” Alpine Subwoofer in a slim box. I did this work myself as I was more comfortable working on a less advanced vehicle. It was a complete pain in my ass but it sounds so much better. My wiring work is definitely not pro level, but yeah, overall happier with the results.

The install was not too difficult but it is a pain to run the wires to the original start/stop button. It took me about 2-3 hours from start to finish.

The floor mats are okay, I don’t love them. The rear is great cause they covers the full carpeted area which is a plus.

Yes, with the exception of the exhaust valve button (below start/stop). I did not get the required module to control the valves since I have no need for it. My valves have the dummy sim plugged in so they are always open.

I love that the two buttons on left and right of “ok” button (left side) also work to turn on turn signal x3

I ended up watching someone on YT do the install on an S6 and yes you're correct, wiring section seemed to be very annoying lol regardless it looks stellar, I've been looking at upgrading my steering wheel anyways with upgraded paddle shifters

I had purchased an Ambrace module before they were discontinued. I was able to get the full kit from them, including the steering wheel.

I would advise you to reach out to them to see what options (if any) are available. I prefer using OEM parts so it was worth it for me.

Finally had some free time to tackle the pads, definitely not as easy as the top load brembo calipers… best part is I want paying attention and broke pad material on one pad so replacement are ordered so I can tackle the passenger side

Was able to sit down this weekend and while taking care of a few oil leaks, got the WMI injection set up installed in the engine bay.

Went in cleanly and I'm very happy with how the bay portion of the install turned out. Now on to the hard part... figuring out where/how to mount the Snow Stg. 3 controller without looking like I installed a Stg. 3 Controller!

    Here's some pics for reference!

    Cheers,

    KS

Managed to pack it all (Pump, Check & solenoid valve and filter) right behind the headlight. Pull the air intakes and you have fairly easy access to everything you might need to get at.
    20250301_170106.jpg

With the headlight and core support installed, there is little extra room, but it all clears and fits.
    [20250301_170056.jpg

I decided to put the nozzles where I did as there are 2 mold injection points equidistant from the ins & outs of the plenum. I figured the plastic might be a little thicker there and drilled away!
    20241109_151541.jpg

I jumped on the laser at work and cut a bunch of stainless up for mounting plates. Silicone gaskets and just a drop of sealant should be good for more PSI than I'm willing to toss at a stock block!
    20241109_152018.jpg

The finished product. These lines are inches behind a 200F blast furnace called the radiator, so I covered them in some high temp sheathing to give the plastic the best chance to survive the hostile environment there. Only time will tell!

90K, you can see the wear spots showing in the old pads, they were really starting to squeal more than how the ceramics sometimes get

Thanks for watching! The Armour Detail Supply Wheel Cleaner is hands down my new go-to—I’ve tried them all, and this one just hits different. It doesn’t activate so fast that you have to rush to avoid streaks, but it still puts on a show, so you know it’s working. Plus, they’re always running sales, and we’ve got a discount code in the description to save you even more!

Yep... I thought about that and will eventually upgrade, but while I'm toying and tinkering with it, this will do. It's much more expensive and difficult while in the development process. That sheathing is fire proof and the tubing survived me torching it while fabricating, so I'm not too worried.

Now that it's all in place and once I'm through tuning, I'll spec it all out for hard line and get all the bits together! It's easy enough to make!

    Cheers,

Its not the best but that jack has a small rubber pad that if you line up correctly does not make contact with the cover... its hanging a little low because i broke a tab trying to remove a while back.

It's to the point where all the problems just run together in a spider web of disappointment and mush.
