Had to put the winter wheels on due to a wheel fitment issue with my new wheels/tires combo. Need spacers to make them fit due to the inner rotor coming into contact with the front brake cover bolt (pictured below).
Winters: Alzor 628 Rotor reps, 19x8.5 et45 on Pirelli Winter Sottozero 255/40/19. These did require spacers to fit, but I expected this and had spacers on hand. 12mm front and 20mm back gets them nice and flush

New summer setup: Alzor rotor reps again , 20x9 et30, because they are my favorite Audi designed wheel. RS5 fit so they have more concavity than my winter setup.

I’m hoping I can get away with only a 3mm spacer without vibrations because the fit with et30 is very close to flush already.

Replaced the CWA 50 OE coolant loop pump with the CWA 100-3 in the stock location to finally match up with my JHM HX

Finally got around to putting the RS6 splash guards on

Also, if you err on the side of super wide wheels.... Secure your wheel well liners or it'll rub on full lock turns

Ordered her a Jackal Tune because at $650 for ecu+tcu and free cable, how can you not?! Never tuned a car before, but I’m super excited. Hoping I don’t have a bunch of components fail right after tuning 78k miles

Since I ordered a tune I figured I should do a little P.M. since I'm at 78k miles. Took advantage of FCP Euro's BF sale. Ordered everything for transmission fluid and filter change (I did not get the kit because it comes with like 9L of fluid and all the DIYs say it only needs like 5 or 6L). Also got supercharger and serpentine belts since they haven't been done to my knowledge. I also just got my CTS Turbo Engine Mounts in the mail so that'll be happening shortly. Ordered engine cooler gasket and bolts from the DIY on here for driver's side mount. Ok want to get the fluids for my differentials. What is everyone usng for the TC/Center Diff fluid to avoid the $100/L Audi one? Couldn't find the thread I read that used a different one that's the same.

I tuned mine with Jackal! Stage 1 for now. Never tuned a car before. It was a breeze to install and it’s such a nice bump in power. Past 4k it really rips. Heat exchanger coming at Christmas thanks to my amazing gf lol and doing some preventative maintenance in the next few weeks too.

Drove our A7 for 1 of the last times yesterday. Trading it in. 2012 with 233,600 miles on the clock. Its been a fun car but its time to get a younger car. Traded in for a 2015 Maserati Ghibli SQ4 with only 13,000 miles on it. Got a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty with it as well. Shop is re-upholstering the dash and putting rear brakes on it this week, they just did the fronts. Planning to pick up this coming weekend.

Yeah definitely the only reason I keep buying German cars lol. I don’t have the bankroll to pay someone over $100/hr whenever the car breaks. Maybe if I need the timing chains done ever, but then again, might be a good excuse to buy a lift bc for 7-8k to do the chains, I can get a nice lift.

Noticed a possible leak on one of the small hoses by the oil cooler when I was doing the engine mount. Seems like the clamp is corroded and maybe leaking coolant right there. Anyone ever replace this little hose? I’m guessing it’s a coolant hose? Will be doing HX and belts soon so will take care of it then when I have to lose some
    coolant anyway

Began transmission replacement with buddy of mine. Old transmission out. Swapped TCU over to new tranny, and have bell housing bolts installed. Tabs that hold the TCU connector in are a PITA and we broke the harness squeezy tabs that came on the new tranny. Connector has squeezy tabs that lock in followed by two securing tabs that slide onto the squeeze tabs. Squeezy tabs lock into place with those plastic inserts as a backup I guess but we don't think it'll pop out so we're going to use the old harness and not use the securing tabs.

Anyone that has done these, any tips for getting the securing tabs installed (marked in 2nd photo?) We're going to button up the valve body, install converter bolts, new fluid + filter, reconnect everything and hope all goes well. Will update if using an NEU TCU on an NXT tranny has any problems.
