That would be kind of cool but I'm I've had my car in matte since 2007 and people kept thinking it was primer LOL. It's time for some real paint.

New color option came into the game. I've been actually holding this one inside for quite sometime but I wasn't convinced until after we painted my body's wheel that color and I saw it in person.

I'm not too keen on the hood slit right now, but I would imagine it'll look very different once she's in paint, and the headlamps are fitted.

Thanks man. I believe the hood slit will look a lot better after it has been painted and if needed I could add a mesh in there. But worst case scenario I can always buy an new hood and throw in there after its finished.

Well the car is painted with the cheap paint to check on the defects and give me time to fix some stuff and do the interior. Final paint in 5-6 weeks :). I'm fucking excited.

I'm still on the fence about the hood slit, but DAMN......everything else is outstanding! This is one hell of a DIY. Your friend has some serious skills, man. Great vision. There aren't a lot of people that could've executed this so well. Can't wait for the real paint!

Thanks guys. My friend is extremely talented. He created everything from scratch without molds or anything to get measurements from. All we had was the spacers and that's about it.

About the hood slit I'm positive it will look even better after I throw some mesh behind it.

Thank you. The final color will be the fireneze red from the land rover but with the added candy effect if it comes out the way we want it. The wheels are staying but they will be painted titanium grey.

Thanks :). Oem headlights and tails are sitting at home but they will go in after the final color so they don't get scratched.

The wheels were for my friend's Ford Focus not for me. LOL

The color right now we don't even know the name nor paint code. We just got the cheapest pastel color there was.

And as for the hood slit - I wouldn't bother with mesh, unless you're going for black plastic mesh, made from the front bumper centre grille on a 2003 Audi TT. Either way, it looks awesome.

Also, out of curiosity......how are you going to paint the rear bumper? Are you going to paint that insert a matte black color (i.e. like the Euro S4 bumper), or are you just painted it the same color?

an oem rs4 grille with rs4 mesh on the bumpers would top off the look with oem headlights and tails. It's nice to see the car with paint finally, looks so awesome

I will try the grill with the rs4 mesh and if I dont like it I'll get an rs4 grill. Everything else will have plastic rs4 mesh.
