not entirely true. the larger it is could cause less backpressure and could also aid in cooling of the exhaust gasses, which is not good. but for the most part if it is set up right the larger diameter could help, however a usual rule of them is to match the diameter to the backside.

Looks like your water to air intercooler lines are pretty small if you ask me. Nice build so far Is that a Johnson CM30 pump?

Engine is done......rs4 body is done...wiring is done (but not tested),fueling and new fuel lines are done..rs4 radiators and custom water hoses done..BUTmanifolds are not done.
And its not up to me..I am waiting for those since March...

Engine brackets on the chassis is the same....
The b5 suframe bolts onto the 8H chassis . I used the 8h control arms..Only problem is the DTS but I will fix that shortly...

So what more then a motor and a subframe would be needed to swap in a 2.7tt into a B6?

Except for a lot or work... is there a lot of fabrication or is it more a bolt on type of deal?

The water lines are big.are you confusing the fuel lines with water lines?
Its a Bosch pump...

The drive axle need to be extended if you are keeping the stock rear axle

We manage to squeeze a 3.5 inch Downpipe. We had to make room for it, by cutting a small lower piece of the secondary firewall...

I have to change the intercooler because there is no room for the water cooler I bought.
I have to buy a awe fmic for B7 or buy a different water cooler core.

the FMICs on the market will probably NOT be good for what you're doing, I would go custom and go big

Car is almost finished .It is now at the body shop . The RS4 back fenders are getting installed.
I would take it for a custom FMIC as soon as it finish
I am currently missing the drive axel (I hope Advanced Automotion can help with this) and I need to replace the crankshaft positioning sensor since I broke it during assembly...

I had some issues with the built. Basically I had to redo all the wiring, which I just finish.
I still haven’t break-in the engine. I did tune it a bit on the dyno before redoing the wiring.
Only 2-3 issues remain to finish it
1. Calibrate the shift knob. For some reason after the JHM short shifter update ,I cannot get the shifter alighted. I tried everything I could think of, watch the videos 1000 times, been throw the service manual but I can not get it to work. To be able to get reverse the shift knob was to be tilt a lot to the right. I tired calling JHM a few times but nobody answers there phones. Are they still in business?
2. Reroute the brake cylinder vacuum pipe since its too close to the downpipe
3. Tune it

I just finish beding in the engine.
Having a single turbo added a lot of issues (oil leaks and fire!!) but I finaly got aroundf them..

My first impressions of the big (1250hp turbo) single turbo system is thats is lagy. With 3 gear up to 3800-4000 rpm I have 0.5bar

Today (or tomorrow) I will strap it on the dyno for the first face of the tuning. i will be going up to 1.5bar (if the silicone hose of the throttle body doesnt pop free again)
