S4 vs S8

Should an B5 S4 beat an S8? I pulled on an S8 pretty hard last night. Not once but twice and he initiated the race. He appeared to have exhaust and body kit.

it was from a roll and it was an 2007. It was badgeless, but kitted up. I thought they were 450 hp V10 but it seemed slow unless he was playing. I asked him if it was an A8 or an S8 and he said S8 but who knows.

The d3 s8 has a 5.0 liter v10.Unless your stage 3 you are not going to touch that car.

It's tough, even a bone stock A8 is pretty quick and I'm pretty sure it'll beat a bone stock B5 S4.

I understand why people debadge an a4 and then paint the body panels to match, but why badge an S4, the body panels, and bumpers both set it apart. I guess I just take pride in what I have.

wow, the car only weighs 4200lbs, i was think more along the lines of what you said. Regardless I think a d3 s8 would take a pj ko4 stage 3- every which way.

Your basic stage 3- car is going to run low low 12's. Some have even run high 11's. I doubt your stock S8 is going to be near that.

I'm not sure ET really matters that much on the street, especially from a roll. I'm sure you're aware of that already, just thought I'd point it out.

Sure if you're talking 10 sec vs a 14 sec car. But most street races I've seen, especially rolls have more to do with trap speeds than ET. For instance I've run strip optimized fbodys, high - mid 10 sec cars that would kill my PJ K04 car at the strip. However, from a 40 roll I've hung with or pull on them.

If it isn't a new S8 with the v10 you should win. The older S8's only had the 4.2 V8 and weighed over 2 tons.

Well yes, but we are also assuming the trap speeds are going to be fairly different when you compare a high 11 second car/low 12 second car to a 13 second heavy beast.

There's no way, it had to be an A8L. An S8 is a 5.2 liter not 5.0 and it's putting down 450 crank. So no, i don't think its possible to be an S8.
