podi or AWE boost guage??

I just installed my AWE this past week. It's amazing, the directions are thorough, matches the interior perfectly, and isn't in that ugly spot on top of the steering wheel, i hate that IMO.

Podi seems to match too from what i've seen in pictures, but i just love the vent gauge. I don't regret spending the money with AWE, at all.

Yeah I agree. To each their own but the vent placement and AWE attention to detail sold me, no regrets.

I think the best place to have a gauge is right above the column where your other instrument cluster gauges are at...a gauge in a vent is quality? Oh well, I'm super happy with my Podi

Personally, I like the location of the Podi gauge much more, and I have also had problems with AWE's gauge reading a bit high (1-3PSI). The Podi electric stepper gauge has matched my ECUx logs dead on. I have to say though, the AWE gauge looks like its factory basically, but once you have that gauge on the steering column and see how much easier it is right in front of you, you don't care about factory anymore.

you don't have to use the steering column pod that Winston includes, you can always put it in the vent like AWE.....

You can mount your boost gauge wherever you want guys.....Just b/c Winston offer's the steering column pod doesn't mean you have to buy it/use it. You can easily wire it to your vent cut-out, make a custom A-pillar, or even ghetto glue it in the cluster....

podi matches pretty much bang on and the gauge is where you need it, i don't have the time to glance over at the vent, then the rpms, then the road. I like just getting boost and rpms at one glance, then back to focusing where the hell your S4 is going so fast;p

There is a walk through for an S4 install on the AWE guage but not on podi. Podi has the install on a 1.8t and 2.0t but not on 2.7t. Does anyone know where i can find a walkthrough of an podi install?

I had a vent guage in my A4 and it wasn't very convenient to read. this time I went with a Podi. Got the pod just waiting on the guage to come in. From the pics it looks pretty badass.

The Podi stepper gauge will be the first and last boost gauge you'll need for your Audi. If you decide to sell the gauge you're not limited to just one group of cars to sell it to since the changeable led lights can be selected to match all Audi instrument panel color patterns.

My favorite about the podi is setting a peak boost warning where when it goes over that the gauge flashes the opposite colors and warns you... The first time I boosted it was set at factory 15 I thought I was blowing my car up but I just had to crank that up to 25 PSI warning :). It's nice knowing that it will flash colors if you are overboosting. VERY helpful.

Love my Stack guage in the vent.

All this talk about needing the vent and it being to far away to look at is rediculous IMO. Tune your car right and you don't need to look at it everytime you hit the gas, I can go a week without looking at mine beating around time.

when i was considering this, i decided to get a column pod simply because when im in boost, im only looking at 1 of 2 places which are the road, and my gauges. i dont understand having to look away from the intrument cluster in the center of the car to see boost pressure.. to answer the question, my buddy has an awe and it looks amazing, however, i like the user functions of the podi, i vote podi
