Re: 2.7t swap into c5 avant?

should be no problem, since the 2.7t avant is avaliable in Europe.....you just need the right parts and it should be a pretty staight forward job.

    " wiring and other stuff,"

Oh man! I am cracking up! Have you even ever seen what the wiring harness is like? Do you have any idea how many sensors a 2.7 engine has?

    pedal set???

hahahahaha - how are you going to wire the clutch position sensor to the ecu?

How about the fuel pump - hmmm ???

Re: 2.7t swap into c5 avant?

yeah i actually pull out the 2.7t out myself, and i saw the wiring, thats why you buy the wiring from 2.7t, so like i said do a research and then ask questions.
you know what i not going to explain myself, i don't have enought english to explain 'car terms' , so people who actually doing the swap, NOT talking, know what i mean.

I sorry at laugh at your stupidness.

    I only being truthy!

I joke but maybe I should cry for you, because I think after owning 2.7t for over 8 years, and work on cars for over 30 years, I know more about 2.7t than you.

You may have the time, and you may have the tools, but you need more common sense.

You better off buying a high mileage allroad, and spending money to paint and fix.

These cars are not Trabant or Seat or VW bug. I been to Ingostadt and see how they built. Very complicated!

Re: 2.7t swap into c5 avant?

my old boss put a 2.7t from an a6 into his b5 a4, and converted it to 6 speed to. depending on what chassis you get the motor from would determine what other parts you would need. if you got it from an a6, and go all the harnesses, ecu tranny and everything. it wouldnt be as bad as an s4. the s4 has shorter axles in the front.

to make it a bit easier, you would want to start on a stick avant. anything is possible with money, a swap like this would not be cheap unless you do everything yourself.

Re: 2.7t swap into c5 avant?

i was thinkin about swapping a stage 3 2.7T into my 4.2, but now that there's an S/C coming out, it think it would be a better investment to do a 6 speed conversion and s/c that bad ass v8

They don't sell stick avants in the US, except the older allroads.

Maybe before you come over here and start talking shit you should learn how to write. Nothing worse than someone trying to be a loud mouth and sounding like an idiot that didn't pass third grade grammar.

to the OP....I see 2.7t's for sale cheap on CL here in Chicago. Usually just the engine with out the trans though. No doubt that its not a B16 swap, but nothing that can't be done. I would help if you were local.
