Nice look. Def. leave the lowers as-is no matter what any haters say. Those exhaust tips stick out kind of far tho'. Is the exhaust hot or cold in that pic? If hot, no biggie. If cold, too far IMO.

Curious as to how you're a "hater" if your opinion is to paint the lowers?
Wouldn't that mean you have different tastes and preferences?

Would look good with painted lowers also.

You know its funny about that exhaust. Its a Greddy that I had bought off of another member a while back. I love it, its not too loud and has a good amount of "rumble" to it. The thing is that pipe that you can see was just a little bit off of center. I took it to an exhaust shop and he centered it BUT when he did it lengthened it by a few MM. Now when the exhaust is hot it sticks out just a tad bit more than the other. Yes the exhaust was hot in that pic, it was like 90 something that day and just parked about 20 min before the shot.


As for the bottoms getting painted. I really don't mind and almost like the look of the non-painted lowers. If and when I go to change them it will be with a body kit of some sort. To be honest that is the last on a long list of mods at this point.

No biggie, it's just that many peeps' first response when others post their sled is "get e-codes" and "paint your lowers" no matter how nice the car looks. IMO that's kind of being a hater cos you are shatting on their thread when they are obviously happy with the way things are at that point.

I like others' lowers both painted and unpainted, including jrau13's. I have also had Audis with both styles.

Ah, I know that game. I finally got mine lined-up nice by myself, and then I had a bunch of major (non- exhaust) work done, during which the exhaust was removed, and now it's all jacked up. I haven't had time to mess with it.

I too have a B5 Avant and I'm thinking about getting this Avant aero rear wiper from VAG Parts when I get back from vaction at the end of the month.
