Yes, ProRack Whispbar - Model S53 = Flush Fit for the S4/RS4 Avant (B5).

The fittings with the bars are a simple clamp design, but depending on what roofbox you fit it too, you need a different adapter, so as to not touch the roof. Thule T697-4 are the adapters, and are a basic square based threaded bolt which slides into the T-section of the Whispbar (above the rubber gasket), to where you need them for the roofbox mounting points.

The fittings then come with a virtually flat cover/nut inside the roofbox to fix together - all very simple and very very neat. Takes almost no additional space up inside the roofbox, and of course takes no space or creates any nasty gaps underneath the box.

The smartest/lowest profile roofbar setup around. Other roofboxes are slightly lower but only by 1-2cm...

Good advice on REI. I'm a member and love buying from them, but I need this box in time for a trip Aug. 1.

Racknroad is not showing the carbon box on their site.

Local Volvo dealer has Thule Atlantis 1800 boxes for $399 with a $30 main in rebate from Volvo. I just needs to strip the logo of the side.

It wasn't easy, and took me about a month of searching. They key is to check every single day, several times a day for new listings. As they get swooped up quickly. I had an RSS feed setup to email whenever anything from Thule was posted. I called the guy minutes after he posted the box and scored it.

That being said, I was picky. I knew exactly what I wanted. It had to be the Atlantis 1600, and it had to be black. Several more silver ones popped up, but I passed them over. So if you're less picky, you can get one quicker.

Ultra stealth, its called inviso-hitch...j/k Nope... No hitch. Must be part of the quad tip you're seeing. Have thought about it but never put one on.

So I have another kid on the way and was thinking about a cargo box, and wondered if anyone has put their travel stroller (one of those that come with the infant seat) in theirs and if so what kind was it?

My stroller is about 17-18 inches folded, and see the Thule 1600 and 1800 are 16-17 inches on exterior dimensions. Figured it might fit but thought I'd ask first. Otherwise might find a different stroller and go with a more shallower box.
