    Gauge Cluster Bulbs

Does anyone know where I could get bulbs for my cluster, besides the dealer? I need three and paying 3 bucks for a stupid bulb is outrageous. I already checked to see if AutoZone has them and they don't.

    Anybody have any ideas?

    Re: Gauge Cluster Bulbs

the gauge cluster doesnt use bulbs...it uses led's and if they burn out you are fucked and need to replace the entire cluster unless you feel like desoldering and soldering in new ones

thats effin nuts for those stupid little bulbs!

The 96 (possibly 97 as well) clusters had bulbs in them... all the other B5 clusters were LED.

I take it all the bulbs have to be soldered into place?

I don't know. I've got one of the brighter bulb kits but never bothered to install it. PM me if you want it.

For the early MYs (not sure when it changed), the bulbs are easily changed once the cluster is removed. You give a quarter turn and they come right out.

    Re: Gauge Cluster Bulbs

Kris Hansen's website says that the bulbs were only used in 96-97. Blauparts site says that kit is for 96-01. I'll bet on Kris's information.

hmm I will know for sure when I pull the dash cluster in a few weeks. I mean I know it's LED's but just need to know if they are replaceable as in just twist off or not.

Thanks onemoremile, exactly what I was looking for!!!

I have a '97, definately have bulbs. I like those higher wattage ones alot. 62c is a bunch better than paying 2.50!!
