Not in Norway or Europe. Taxes on cars are extremely high here. Bigger engine = more tax. More horsepower = more tax. More weight = More tax.

Did some detailing on my new wheels using swisswax products:

I found out today that the mirror caps for a 2009 modell doesnt fit on a 2010 modell A4. The new side mirrors are smaller. So I guess I have to wait for S4 mirror caps for 2010 to become available for sale.

This week certainly seems like the week for 2010 cars across Europe. There's lots of guys in the UK getting them from today onwards.....although mines due early September.

I havent been a bad boy, but the dealership has because they said it would be the same so I believed them. But its ok because when the S4 mirror caps for 2010 is out ill get to change the ones i bought for 2009 and the dealership will have them installed.

I've never waxed my wheels before. Does it really make that much difference or really look any different? Looks like a lot of work to me for little reward. Oh, and love the pic of the front of your car. Congrats!

I didnt do it for the look. It doesnt look any different. I did it because the swisswax autobahn special wax leaves a protective film over the rims which make them easier to wash and get dirt and brake dust off.

8.5 with that rubber would look good on a B7, but it looks small on a B8. Rear wheels look just to small. But maybe in person its different.

No point in doing a staggered setup with wheels on the B8. The rear is not bigger then the front when it comes to space for the wheels. I think you can do 9 at the highest, but then if you lower it more then you would have to roll the inside of the fenders. Im planning to lower this baby so I am very satisfied with the 8,5.

I agree with you about staggered wheels being useless on the B8. I thought 9" was the widest possible, but recently a lowered A4 with 9.5" wheels was posted here and it looked really good. I bet clearance is VERY tight though.

I vote for 19x9.5"... then report back on how the fitment works. You might have to remove the clips and roll your front fenders nice and tight so you don't have any rubbing when going up driveways with your wheels turned.

EDIT: ET38 on 8.5" is not very aggressive, but there's NO chance of rubbing at all. ET45 on 9.5" is the same as ET33 on 8.5" in relation to the fenders, with 12mm less clearance between the inside of the wheels/tires and the suspension.

I know now what you mean. These worked for 2 days, now suddenly one of them wont turn on.
