My name is Taylor, i'm 20 years old, and i'm going into my junior year of college. My car is a 2000 1.8TQM. I bought my car whenever i was a junior in high school (17), and as you can imagine, i though i was the coolest kid on the block. being a high school kid meant that i was pretty broke (still am), but it also meant that my taste in modifications... well lets just say leave something to be desired.
Here was my first "mod": tinted tails

i actually thought it looked amazing at the time being. but the paint was WAY too dark. you couldnt even see me braking in the daytime. so i quickly got rid of those.
my next purchase for my car was 17x8 ASA R1 wheels.

I actually got these off of a friend, so they werent too expensive. However, because i wanted new rims to be "cool" i cheaped out and didn't lower my car with it

my first year of college i purchased a few new toys for my car, such as an rs4 replica grille, i clear cornered my headlights, had my local shop build me an exhaust, and added an 3m lip spoiler. I also was heavy to work on the interior too. I wrapped the pillars in suede, added a three column gauge cluster in order to keep track of some things (boost, oil pressure, A/F), and a couple of other goodies im forgetting to list.

next thing - aluminum mirrors:

My car stayed like this for almost 1 1/2 years. I had endless problems with it and i contemplated selling it MULTIPLE times. However, i stuck through the rough patches, got everything fixed up, and decided to plasti dip my wheels

plasti-dip was fun and all, but i was sick of them pretty quick. and i really wanted to go a new route with my car. luckily, i spotted some RS4 reps from a guy on craiglist.

And that brings me where i am today. Along with my new APR 93 tune, long with a new 710n dv.
My goals for the next few weeks are painted lowers and rear valance. Along with trying to find an oem s4 grille and front bumper.
It's been a long road, and i'm not even close to where i want to be yet. But i'm happy with how my taste in mods has grown. I'm definitely now more into the OEM plus look. i just can't wait to see where my car will be 1 year from now.
Also, here's a pic of me and my beautiful better half:
