Not many ways to mix this up as it's a transmission mount. I'm considering the sterns as well, but maybe I'm attracted to the blue apikol?

Have you installed the apikol trans mount yet and any vibration or any reviews on it?

OR anybody is running the apikol trans mounts, what's your feedback?

Ha, I actually had the stern first, and switch to the 034 track dens and I like the 034 more. The Stern was still lettin her slop around. Trans is locked down with the 034.

Weird I feel the same way about the Stern vs 034, that the stern soaked up all the slop

1.8 has two motor mounts. Check your snub mount too, I replaced mine a few months back and it made a noticable difference in how the front end felt. If your still running the original snub mount its likely shot. Mine was original and it was quite squishy and had cracks everywhere.

Not sure about Transmission mounts though. I believe my 1.8t manual takes one, but I'm not sure if its the Tip that needs two or the 3.0 that needs two...

Tips need 2, manuals 1. And yes, the apikol mount works on tips as per my reply just now from them.

I had it for about 3 weeks now and its starting to get smoother. It's way different and if you have a Rear diff mount and a JHM shifter its a VERY nice change. Stiffens up your transmission and the car will shake more than usual for the first few times before your get use to it.

Are you sure the Apikol transmission mount is designed for the B6? Because it is listed as a B5 transmission mount and as we all know the B5 transmission mount is in fact taller then the B6 5 speed and B6/B7 6 speed transmission mount which is why both 034 and Stern offer a version of their mount for each of those applications.

    My question to Apikol:

Can the transmission mount be used on a tiptronic b6 (2004) audi a4 quattro sedan 1.8t?if yes would i need 2? thanks.

B6 tiptrontic just uses the same 2 mounts that would be used on a B5 V6(2.7t and 2.8), so any of the B5 mounts which is what the Apikol mount is.

Does it mean the Apikol Transmission mount has noticeable more vibration than OEM ones? or you got more vibration cause your combo setup with the apikol trans mount?

How many people are runing this Apikol Transmission mount and is there vibration noticeable increase over the OEM ones?

Guys, i've just installed the Apikol Transmission mounts , Snub mount and Rear Differential mount today...the vibration is bad, my whole cabin rattles during idle or in very low RPM ....does it need time to run in ??

Which is giving the vibration ?? Is it the Apikol Transmission mounts or the U-snub mount...

If the snub is not aglined correctly i will cause vivrations, but most likely it the transmission mount. To make sure just unbolt the snub braket (3, 13mm nuts) and start the engine.

I just did the same, and have quite a bit of increased vibration when under 2k rpm. It has decreased over the past week, but if it doesn't drop considerably more I will have to think about replacing the trans mount with a new stock one. I know it's not a mount alignment issue as I tightened all mounts with the car at idle and the snub is not in contact with the carrier frame. Plus the vibration almost disappears with the clutch fully depressed

Did you compare the Apikol transmission mount to your stock mount, height wise and what transmission do you have? Because the B5/B6/B7 manual cars don't all use the same mount. The same thing happen when 034 first came out with their first transmission mount which was based off the B5 mount, all of the B6 owners that installed it ended up having vibration issues and to find out that the mount was taller then the stock mount causing the transmission to sit higher.

    Stern B5 mount

    Stern B6 5 speed mount

    Stern B6/b7 6 speed mount

And now compare those in height vs the Apikol mount.

M-hood, didn't get to check the height of the Apikol against my stock mounts, as it was done by my mechanic..so now this is worrying...anyway my car is an auto trans b7 quattro..

Your transmission uses 2 mounts right? Any aftermarket mount of this type of design is going to have some vibration at idle since there is a good amount of break-in period needed to allow the poly bushings to settle/soften.

Yes 2 mounts....how long u think this break-in period will take ?? as the idle or low rpm vibration is really rattling my cabin....

    Mike,

I can confirm that the Apikol mount is about 3/8" taller than the stock 5-speed mount. Whether or not that is responsible for the additional vibration, or whether it's just due to new/stiffer mount, I do not know. I wouldn't mind having a Stern mount to compare though... :)

mine doesn't vibrate nearly that badly - mostly sounds like it's coming from the rear deck / D-pillar area - not much in terms of felt vibration. I'd say it has decreased about 1/3-1/2 from what it was originally

well...this thread made me realize maybe pure ms sent me the wrong transmission mount as my car vibrates like a silverbullet, the waterproof battery powered kind.
