    s6 led fogs on a b7 s4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
so recently finished up installing my oem audi s6 fog lights on my b7 s4
This was not a very easy job and required ALOT of patience
I want to start off by giving mad props to the following:
    nnnick: http://nickscarblog.com/diy/b7-audi-...d-retrofit-diy
    tgt: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...tall-with-Pics
    enigma1406: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...D-DRLs-on-a-B7
without you guys, I would be hunched over my mangled bumper in tears
I did read/see a few others with similar mods so props to you too...
I tried to really take my time on this so my baby sat in my garage for about a week with no front bumper on her but I am quite pleased with the way it turned out...definitley worth the long hours and TONS of frustration
now I dont have alot of body experience (at all!) but if you are thinking of doing this mod be forewarned....this is no easy task if you ask me but with some time and patience it is definitley possible
as you can see I havent put the fog grills back on. I used the s4 oem grills and rebuilt them with fiberglass but wasnt fully satisfied with the way they turned out (I'm a bit of a perfectionist) so I took them to a guy in Calgary who does custom hot rod work to finish them for me
more pictures will be added as soon as i get the grills back (my apologies for picture quality: I am no profesional photographer and I dont have a fancy camera)
anyhow, here are some pics. If anyone has any comments/suggestions on the car or ideas where to go next with it...please share! I'm always open to ideas! (someone also tell me if they liked the black or silver emblems more please)

    quick picture before

    another

I will be adding more pics soon if requested before I get the fog grills back (should be soon) or once they are back in

Came out great!!! Nice work! The lower grilles are definitely a tricky part, I am excited to see how the custom grilles turn out for you...let me know if he's interested in making more ;)

Looks good man! I just finished doing this to mine as well out here in Vancouver! I will toss up some pics soon.....and I must thank nnnick as well; I had his DIY printed out and sitting next to me as my friends were watching in horror as I butchered my bumper! haha...

I did run into some clearance issues though when it cam to fitting the bumper back onto my S4. I eventually resorted to actually having to trim some minor length off the light housing itself and then re-seal the light housing after. They were getting caught up on the radiator on passenger side and headlight washer pump on drivers side.

S4 shoes: did you run into this drama as well? Also, what wiring route did you take? I assume you have the colour DIS display and had fog light out warnings showing......Please let me know what you did to tackle that. I have found some resistors that should work, but have not installed yet. Mine are wired via stiock fog plugs and I am VAGcom'd and switch modded to run just my city lights and LED's in fog position; exactly the way I want it.

Any insight you can share is appreciated. I will snag some pics to show of mine this weekend. I did the OEM lights and went with the modded S6 lower grilles......I had no body man experience either, but through some trial and error, I made the proper cuts, re-attached, bondo'd and re-painted in satin trim paint and they look good!

    Cheers!

marky g....sorry for the late reply!!
i actually did run into fitment issues with the rad as well....i actually ended up taking the bumped off and re-mounting about 5 times to get the fit perfect
as for the fog light out warning....ya it SUCKS! i havent had the time to take the bumper off the put the resistors in but it is starting to get annoying
let me know what you end up doing to get rid of it!!
    post up some pics!
