2012 Black S4. About to pull the trigger on Forgestar F14 gunmetal. Love the concavity of the 19x10.

Looking at 19 x 10, ET 45 with the stock Continentals 255/35/19. Plan on ordering H&R OE springs at the same time. Anything else I need to consider? Will fender rolling be avoidable? Is there a better offset to go with?

    Thanks!
The +45 is too conservative and will be really close to rubbing on the suspension in the front. I would not go any higher than a +40 to +42 (max) on a 10" wheel with 255 tires. I would say there is a decent chance you won't need to roll your fenders with any of the mentioned offsets, or if you do it will be minimal (the screw in the front fender liner). Several people are running 10" wheels with a +39 offset and only a mild roll in the front. A +42 would give you 3mm of additional clearance with the fender.

You may get some better opinions in the wheel fitment thread.

Yes, please. From the first post in the thread: "An ideal post should show good (i.e. in-focus/decent light) pics of your B8 S4 with wheel and suspension modifications, along with short (bullet points would be ideal) information noting the manufacturer, size and specifications (offset, tire size, etc.) of your wheels and suspension components, if any."

Pretty sure they are 19x9 +37. I think that is what he was running on his other ride, and I am assuming these are the same wheels or similar.

    Advice needed...Forgestar CF10's ( trying to sell the HRE's )

Should i go 19x9.5 or 19x10...and what offset for each...and 255 or 265's all around

10's obviously are more concave than the 9.5's

    Stock suspension for now...

    Thanks

If you go 19x9.5 the offset limit is around +40, can't help you with x10.

I know you say "stock suspension for now", but what are your plans? I need to know this to suggest the proper specs. Basically... how low do you plan to go, how flush you want the wheels/tires, are you opposed to some tire stretch, and do you want 100% rub-free, or do you mind the occasional rub on the fender liner? Oh, and do you plan on doing ANY fender work? The front fender liner clips are an easy DIY removal that will help tremendously, but rolling the front fenders will give you the same fender clearance front and back to run a nice aggressive square setup.

My plans for the moment are to add either H&R OE springs or buy another set of H&R coils but keep it conservative.
Definitely not slamming this car...maybe split the difference at the most. No fender work...but not opposed to removing liner clips...
As far as stretch...not too much. Kind of like the squared off meaty tire look...basically only me in the car every day but i do have a
baby on the way so in case of emergency the wife might be using the car here and there...hope this helps and thanks

Blake...wish i listened to you on not buying the HRE's...only on the car for one day to test fit..no vibration ( although it didn't rain )
    I shouldn't have rushed it...rear wheels way to aggressive at 20 x 10 et 42 for me

When you say the rears are way too aggressive, what do you mean exactly? I would think 10" ET42 would be a nice fit that's not overly aggressive...

With your comments in mind, I would suggest 19x9.5" ET42 with 255/35/19 tires. That should give a nice aggressive look without rubbing, but remove the front fender liner screw/clips to give extra room to avoid rubbing once you're lowered. Congrats on your upcoming addition to the family. I suggest getting an exhaust if you haven't already... the low hum puts my son right to sleep!

    Last post about these rims i promise...HRE 542 R's

Bought these for my S4 for a great price used...( Mercedes & Audi fitment )

But then changed my mind about running 20's and rather go 19's
Received specs from HRE using serial numbers

    Offsets Front et 35 Rear et42 (20x9, 20x10)

Tried to sell but no takers...so i'm going to run them for the summer

Only problem is the rear tires are 285's ( front 245's are fine, both in with a lot of life left )

Thinking i want to buy 4 new tires all the same size all around ?
Just need to know what size i should go with ???

    255/30/20's ?

    Thanks again...

As stated this is the wrong thread for questions.

You do not want to run the same size tires all around on a staggered wheel setup. All four tires need to retain the same overall diameter, which won't happen when you put tires that fit tighter on the rear wheels due to being wider. Reason being is the sidewall stretches when you put it on a wider wheel, resulting in slightly smaller diameter. This is bad for AWD cars. Staggered setups in general are a bad idea on AWD cars unless you can ensure all four wheels are the same overall diameter.

Here are a few of mine. Avant Garde M310 19x9.5 +40. Michelin Pilot Super Sports 255/35/19. ST Coilovers dropped about 1.5". SPC front camber arms, H-Sport (Hotchkis) sway bars, and EuroCode AluKreuz. -1.5 degrees camber and 1/16 toe all around. The front has the screw removed and a very minor roll. I still have some minor rubbing on the front. There are no mods to the rear, and I have not seen any rubbing yet. I'll get better pics, but time was not on my side for these....

I assume you are referring to my car. I will most likely skip the spacers during the messy winters. My wider summer rims should do the job, only a few weeks away before they are on the car. Looking forward to it.

    Guys,
Looking at getting the Avante Garde M310. I have a set of brand new 19" tires (255, 35, ZR19's). I called Modbargains and they recommended 19x9.5 with a 40 offset all around. Would those tires work and have a proper filled out fitment so I wouldn't need spacers? Thanks

    Andrew
