I got the MX+ but it doesn't want to pair with RSNAV and I'd rather avoid the entire Android auto thing.

Cheap generic ones do pair with RSNAV, but they don't have a "sleep mode". I got one from BAFX but in the morning it was warm to the touch by just staying plugged in overnight in the OBD2 port, so my guess is battery drain is a concern with my short commute.

It's a bit of a shame that obd 11 being so expensive doesn't perform also simple functions of the $15 generic obd2 reader and doesn't have a sleep mode like $80+ readers.

Thank you all for feedback. No obd11 and no torque pro for me I guess.

Yeah, it is annoying about the obd11 not being able to work as an obd reader with other things... I have obdlinkmx to use with torque pro... It has a much better polling rate than those el cheapo adapters... If you're just reading codes, the cheapies will do... But if you're using torque for logging or gauges, you want a fast polling adapter. Why it wont pair with RSNav is pretty jacked up... This thing pairs with at least a half dozen phones/tablets/laptops that ive used over the years.

OK, success, I got it to pair.

So apparently a lot of "Chinese" head units don't like spaces in bluetooth broadcasted name.
There is a way to change MX+ broadcast name. I changed it to OBDLink and RSNAV connected without issues.

So Torque Pro is working now but their OBDlink Android app is doing something weird.
Once bluetooth connection is established it looks like it's trying to call something. This pop up loads up, stays on top and the only way to get rid of it is to reboot RSNAV.

Any idea what is it doing?
