    Can I make a suggestion to adjust your exhaust setup to 3" dps mated to a custom 3.5" single exhaust with mid muffler only (magnaflow or vibrant). This has been far and away my favorite exhaust setup on previous B5 S4's. It purrs at highway cruising speeds/rpms and roars at WOT. S.E.P makes a nice 3.5" single from what I have seen. I had an 034 setup much like this and wish I could find one or they still offered it.

    For the exhaust, I appreciate the input. I think for max performance what you described is the way to go, my worry is sound though. At the moment I have the xs-power downpipes installed with stock exhaust and kinda like the noise level, although I wouldn't mind a bit louder. Definitely don't want any cruising drone and want the part throttle noise to a minimum. I've been through a lot of cars in my day with exhausts that range from almost straight pipe / side exit to completely stock on the daily, and everything in between, and for this car if I have to sacrifice a bit of power to get a more refined exhaust note then I'm willing to do that. I'll put some thought into what you recommended though, thanks!
