B8 Front Bumper Options and Experience

Well.. .Mops made me feel bad about my A5 bumper.. JK. Im selling the car, but if I don't get any offers the bumper is what Im going to address.

Im looking for opinions, experience, and preferably pictures of fitment of available b8 fronts.

Im torn between just upgrading to an S5 bumper and staying understated, the car has beautiful lines.

Going with an RS5 replica (so I don't need fenders). This is probably the best looking, but then I will need to address known fitment issues and side skirts. I hate all the available side skirts for this car. Anyone have any experience with aftermarket RS bumper manufacturers?(stateside)

Caractere, Reiger, Eros etc.. Im not sure I love them, I don't hate them, but they're always pictured on silver or white cars. Which I understand because you can see their lines better, but anyone running one of these in the real world that can provide some pics? I ran some searches, just haven't found any real experience. Other than Woo's RS5 bumper.

our resident hulk had the reiger rs5 front on his meteor grey s5. fitment seemed a bit better than woo's, but most had fitment trouble with reiger. never 100% perfect

greg has the xenonuk bumper and seems pretty happy with it. little to no fitment issues i believe

i dont even like caractere so i cant comment there

bk hit the spot and Yes for Rieger front bumper fitment is terrible the bodyshop has to wiggle to make it closest to good not perfect fitment. I hear good thing about xenonuk bumper.

s-line and stone guards is a solid choice, it'll look like a completely different car. I have the xenonuk kit. I love it but there are a few little things that could be improved which border on the edge of obsessive.

This kit has long been my favorite. Beautiful car. The contrast on the white is killer, I feel like it will either be lost on my color, or understated which could be cool. I like how it doesn't really interfere with the side profile of the car. What would you change, fitment, or just design details? The RS5 bumper almost gives the A5 a "long face" without the fenders. Im definitely going to go the Stone guard route. Everything else chokes up the profile I think, thats just me though.

These are the only 2 issues u have with the kit

1) The lower lip on the xenon kit is 2 piece, it does not fit properly and needs to be bonded. It leaves a gap between the bottom grille surround and the lower valence, its annoying. It should be 1 piece or be better fitting. Make sure you tel the installer to bond it from the back with windshield adhesive.

2) The side fender mounts should be about 1/8th" wider for a completely flush fit without adjusting. Your installer can adjust it but it should fit like OEM in my opinion without adjustments..

Another option that not many people pursue with their a5 bumper is the Votex lip. That's the route I wanted to take as I really want to do the s5 conversion but couldn't source the pieces for a good price and the aftermarket options are a little too aggressive for my taste.


This isn't my car but that's what the lower votex lip looks like.
