Going to remove both lower kick panels, entire center dash console, and can easy access various areas via the fresh air vent in the rain tray downward and arm through the center vent if needed.

Saw the trick to turn the blower motor sideways to pull out (just to lighten the unit up). The protruding metal heater core tubes into the rain tray have been lobbed off (to prevent hang ups) and ac lines removed. What changes my situation is it's not going back in.

Looking for guidance if or where there maybe pesky/tricky bolts I need to hunt down to yank it out through the bottom.

I haven't pulled the whole thing out but I did have to open the blower motor area and clean it and behind it when some mice decided to make a nest in one of my b5s that'd been sitting. They got in by eating a hole through the cabin air filter and made the nest in the blower. Made for some excitement when I first started it lol. Pretty much just remove the glovebox and you'll have good access to everything needed. I remember some bolts were tricky but nothing really hidden that you won't find. Could be more involved with your goal, but my experience wasn't terrible (beyond the mess anyhow).

UPDATE: Entire unit came out, with ac bulk head & heater core without removing the dash.
