So I found a B8 locally and I'm wondering what do I need to look out for specifically mechanically if I buy. I did some research and read that I should replace the timing chain tensioner immediately if It has not been replaced.
Also, common problem is oil consumption issues? How can I check this while im looking at the car, is this even possible? Can I get mechanical recalls as a second owner?

More importantly, how much would you pay for one in excellent cosmetic condition with 110000 miles? The car has no known mechanical issues. Vagcom comes clear.

Seller tells me he has maintenance records but tensioner was not replaced. Car is untuned. Car is lowered and has RS4 wheels. The car is pre-facelift.
