    2016 C7.6 Audi A6 Vagcom/Obdeleven Modifications That Work.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
After a lot of trial and error and a lot of help from forums/internet research I thought I would share what modifications that I have successfully got to work on my C7.5 Audi A6

    OBDeleven Mods:
VIM (Video in motion) will not work with Vagcom right now. From what I could see no one has figured out the security code but you can do it with the OBDeleven tool and i can confirm its working.

Green Engineering Menu will not work with Vagcom right now either. But I did get it to work using OBDeleven. The options seem a lot limited I couldn't figure out to really do anything worth customizing but i have confirmed its working. The layout is different then the 2012 A6 engineering menu.

    Vagcom Mods:
    Comfort Windows Roll Up
Enable Coming Home & Leaving DRL Function
    Euro Parking Lights
    Enable Adaptive Brake Lights
Tail Lights On With Front DRLs
    Curb Lighting
Enabling The Daytime Running Lights On/Off Setting In The MMI
Enabling Tourist Mode Setting For Headlights In The MMI
Activation Of Footwell Lighting For Vehicles Without Lighting Pack
    Gauge Test/Needle Sweep
    Lap Timer/Oil Temperature/Boost Gauge/Shift Light
Enable Automatic Gear Selection Shown In DIS
    Seatbelt Reminder Chimes
Add Sensitivity Menu For Active Lane Assist (If Equipped)
Close The Trunk Remotely (If You Have Power Trunk)
Change The Time Before The Heated Seats Auto-Change From Level 3 To 2

What I COULDN'T Get To Work:
Enable Independent Fogs Control With High Beams
Enable Auto Handbrake When Shift Into Park
    Enable Battery Meter
Change Massage Seat Time (Seems To Only Work On Some Comfort Seats)

There is an amazing post that gave me 90% of the information i needed to do these changes. Most of the mods work for C7-C7.5 but there is a select few that don't work by the old methods. I hope this helps.

Below is some websites that I used to find the information needed to do these mods. They should have all the information for Vagcom mods to do yourself. OBDeleven is very straight forward but you do have to buy the device and pay for PRO and finally each mod costs money but it's super easy. If you live in my area I would happily let you use my OBDeleven.

Thank you. One mod that I’m getting conflicting info on is disabling the rear spoiler. It can’t be accessed in VCDS so I’m wondering if OBDeleven gains access. Any way you can confirm?

The other thing I’m researching at the moment is to retrofit the auto hold button and know I’ll need the coding soon.

My A6 does not have a rear spoiler so unfortunately I cannot help on that. I believe that's on the A7. Is the auto hold button related to the rear spoiler or what button are you trying code?

The auto hold button is the button that allows the car to engage the brakes for you once stopped so you can relax your foot off the pedal and automatically released them when you push the accelerator. It’s on all Audi versions except NA.

No, not the stop and go but auto hold.

I do not maybe chiromikey does? I didn't even know that was a feature until he mentioned it. When I use my cruise control the car stops its and then goes when I barely tap the accelerator so maybe we already have the hardware to get this to work we just need to code something? Your saying in everywhere except NA. The car always automatically applied the E brake for you at a stop?

My MDX had this feature and it was so great for driving in places with lots of traffic & stop lights.

Yes. Basically you push the ((A)) button and every time you come to a complete stop the car will hold the brakes for you and you can relax with your foot off the pedal. Then just like cruise with stop and go, as soon as you apply throttle the car automatically releases the brakes. It’s such a lazy man’s feature but after having it for so long in my MBs and BMWs it’s hard to live without.

Does anyone know if the factory harness is ready to accept the Auto-Hold button or will it require an extra wire ran to the master cylinder as needed on the B8 cars?

I believe it is if you take your LHD car into a RHD country, it will adjust your headlights so you do not blind ppl on the opposite side of the road.

Only now after a couple of weeks I figured out that it (auto-handbreak when in P) only works, if you have the automatic break activated. If this is the case and you put your car in P and turn it off, it will auto-handbreak. I can take a video if needed.

Is that on your 2016 face lift A6 Kapio? If so I'll reactivate it with my vagcom thanks so much for sharing! And yes bonafyd tourist mode does exactly what acamposac1 said. I activated it in my 2016 A6. Though it's kind of pointless I thought it was cool to have the option lol.

For VIM, did you have to use the long code and if so, which adaptation did you use?

See this thread for all info on the auto hold mod.

Windows up with key fob does NOT work with my obd11 pro.
    Neither does the battery meter.

    Thoughts?

You're better off inquiring about VCDS stuff in the VCDS THREAD

That being said, is you vehicle 7 or 7.5? Battery meter doesn't work in 7.5. Windows up with keyfob works in both 7 and 7.5.

This is the first I've heard of the comfort seat mod not working. I have pictures that show exactly how to do it in this THREAD. Of note, you can only input specified time intervals in the time setting, as well as within min/max range; otherwise, it will not accept the coding change.

Okay, got it. Bought ODB11, it looks like trick777.com generates a security code for MMI 2G & MMI 3G. My 2016 A6 is MMI 4G. Tried that sites code, it did not work. Where would I obtain the security code to access the adaptations...does anyone know?

VCDS shows you the codes in a pop up when you mouse hover over the security code field. Additionally, codes and lists of codes are posted on the forum. That being said, what module do you need a code for?

As mentioned above, you don't want the auto hand, parking brake to engage when putting the car into park. Not needed, think about it, just more trouble with disengaging it.

That one should not have been on any list, good thing you can't do that trick.....
