Remote Start for 2015 Q7

I was hoping to see what systems are being used for a remote start 2015 Q7.

I was talking to a dealer near me with excel to reviews about the Compustar. He was saying there is no firmware for the car and it would be a “tricky” install. He suggested that Compustar was more reliable than Viper as the Viper app is buggy. I’d like to have cell connectivity. I don’t mind giving up one of my keys.

Another dealer said they could do the Q7 with Viper and didn’t seem concerned about doing it. Found them through a YouTube video of my car with a remote start. I don’t know this shop at all and it’s bit of a drive from me.

Do you think I should go with the Viper system, find another Compustar dealer or pass?

All jokes aside I dont think I've ever heard of anyone else remote starting their Q7 so you may be in uncharted territory.

Shouldn't be a problem if you have an extra key to spare, assuming advanced key, I used the valet key in my 2014 S4 with the viper system. However I'm running into problems with my 2019 Q7 because they no longer come the 3rd key. So I would need to buy a third key and program it from the dealer on top of the install price for the system.

To close this thread out - I had the Directed Clifford Remote Start system installed. It's working perfectly. Install done by Unexpected Creations in Edison, NJ.
