Why is the back "Audi" red, while the front one is pink?
Different parts/sources, or a quality control issue?

I think is has to do with the shadow. Door on left looks like the sun is shining through some trees while the right door has a solid shadow.

It appears like that in the image as the introduction of light from outside and second picture from inside makes one look lighter (pink). Both sets of lights are from amazon and have the same color in real life.

I did not even noticed until point out good eye ;)

I was told that the 2019 has available black optic package but this dos not appear online. Some owners order the trim from Germany as they have the option already, and some just painted. I for one like the contrast for now of the dark paint and chrome. Maybe one day I get tired of it and look to do something about it.

Curious on how you tinted the side marked lights? Photos? How-to?

I used the VViViD Air-Tint Dark Black Headlight/Tail Light Window Tint from Amazon. First i clean the service with car soup and clay bar. Then i place the film over it to cut slightly larger outline then needed. then i removed the back paper from film and applied it dry over the marker. i then used a plastic edge tool to to remove any air and to insert the excess film inside. i sprayed the tint with babe shampoo and also used heat gun to mold the tape around the marker.

    i hope this helps.

Good point should check that also and see. I just wished I did not live in Ohio when we are going to get snow and require winter tires. I don’t really want to make hard pulls with them as I would think with such softer rubber it would remove a lot of miles from there life.

I know the feeling, some think a jeep is a inline 6 two doors manual with no roof or its not a jeep.

i for one definitely like what you done and can appreciate the unique look as this is also what i would like to achieve with any vehicle i own.

This is how the install process looked like for me. Always follow your specific instructions provided from the OEM

1). I measured the stock height in Dynamic and Off-Rode mode for reference. I used painters tape to insure measurements are perform at the same location.

2). Select the Off-Rode more and give it a minute to air up the suspension. After select the wheel change option from the MMI. Turn the car off, lock the doors and remove the key from when the car can communicate with it.

3). Instructions stated that the all four links can be changed without jacking the car. However I jacked up the car to remove the front links as it gives you more visibility and work space.

4). Remove old links using a flat screw driver or needle nose pliers. Do the metal side first as not to damage the sensor arm. Once that is released the other is easy to pup out just by moving the link around.

5). Insert the rubber grommet on the ball joints

6). Apply a small amount of grease on the ball joints

7). After adjusting the links to desired measurement (instructions call for 8mm shorter then OEM) remove the lock rings apply a small amount of grease in ball joints install the link and insert the lock rings.

8). the rear seat was done without lifting the car. Similar process as front only with one major difference, the rear links you make them longer then OEM.

9). after all four links are changed I started the engine, turn of the wheel change option from MMI, and lower the car by each mode and monitor clearance. After I tooked for a drive to let everything settle and measured difference.

10). I had to readjust the links 2-3 times each to get them to final seat up. This process was done without jacking up the car. The rear is easy the front I also turn the wheels to each side when performing the adjustment.

    Hope this helps,

Build log SQ5 MKII “The Mammoth”

That’s awesome man!! Thanks for the write up and pictures. Super helpful.

Question - I’ve read 3-4 owners instance of this install and all have same the same thing about having to do it 2-3 times to get the adjustment right. What do you attribute that to? Seems simple - set them all the same and go but clearly not that easy. Do you have to removal them completely to adjust them each time?

If you did it again - what would you do differently? Skip the jacking and wheel removal?

You should make that post a DIY and we can have it stickied

After some miles - post your thoughts on ride quality, handling and the trade offs.

Thanks for the informative post! This is the best part about forums.
