I really hate hijacking threads but this was a surprise for me.

When I looked at a 2018 on the showroom floor it had 2 USB ports in the center console, then I got my 2018 and it had one.

I picked up my 2019 yesterday to find out it has 2 USP charging ports in the rear seats next to the 12v socket! Pleasant surprise as usually I put a dual USB plug thingy into the 12v back there.

They are definitely making small changes that also includes the LED for rear wiper, the USB front and rear, the rear diffuser. This is what I know in NA and probably more that we don’t know about.

also the newer 2019 models have the wireless charging dock in the slider undre the armrest. Mine was built 05/17 as a 2018 model and i have blank exhaust, red led on wiper, two usb slots under armrest, none in front by 12v. and standard cubby slider under my armrest what my Note 8 does not even fit into. on the 2019 model my note8 easily fits onto the wireless sliding dock. so even if i did not use wireless charging, i would still rather that option be on our models. when I originally ordered my vehicle there were only pictures online and of course only european versions got that option first. Blah!

I have it in the SQ5, and in my Tacoma, and in both it virtually never kicks into charging mode with my very thin case on. Even with the case off it still flips back and forth between charging and not charging somewhat frequently. In the SQ5 we use Carplay most of the time, in which case the phone has to be plugged in, and thus is charging anyway. A salesman told me that the Q8 has wireless Carplay, which would be rad if it works the way it is supposed to. But if you use for phone for Navigation, and/or don't want your phone beeping as it slips between charging and not charging, I think the wireless charging technology is more gimmicky than useful.

dont think newer models with the wireless charging feature charge anything aditional at time of purchase for that option. i can see the on/off charging issuses after using for 2 days in the factory loaner. my main concern is that my phone does not fit into the small sliding cubby/coin holder I have in place of the wireless charging sliding dock. so im stuck with putting my phone in the cup holder and everytime i excelerate and brake my phone knocks back and forth and if i put it into the useless cubby infront of the shifter it instantly falls out. do you guys use any particular phone mount in your B9 SQ5's?

I use iPhone 7 and don’t have any problems as it fits in the space on right from the transmission selector. However any larger phone won’t fit in that location.
